Another excellent addition to Greenup's awesome coaching staff. We really are building a new future at GC. The field work started yesterday. They should finish tilling today and then start removing the top layer of soil. Barring any problems, this job should be near or at completion by the end of the week.

There will be a booster club meeting tomorrow evening (Tuesday) at 6pm in the bleachers. We will discuss the summer calendar, Field work, and the middle school football program. Hope to see everyone out at the meeting!

I agree, a great addition to the winter sports programs.

Excellent, it is time to get the ball rolling on organizing the combined middle school team. I know some of the boys have been coming to the high school to work out. This is great stuff!

I think this is a great idea. I would love to see Greenup participate.

:thumb: He has already made huge improvements in the attitude of the administration, parents and the boys. His commitment to excellence will build a foundation for a great future for GC Football.

The work on the field will begin on Monday (weather allowing.) The boys are excited about the new equipment. Coach gave out shirts yesterday to all the boys who have been working out everyday and particpated in Spring practice. The shirts are nice and are imprinted with this slogan: MORE IS REQUIRED BECAUSE MORE IS EXPECTED! GO Greenup!

:thumb: The boys are working on form and this will help them be better lifters in the long run. Coach is working to correct the small things both on and off the field. We are running a marathon, not a sprint!

Greenup is fortunate to have the numbers to field quality teams in most, if not all, of their athletic programs. It would be great if the best "athletes" played multiple sports, and allowed Greenup to be more competetive, but, this is not our reality. With Coach Copley's training style, I believe we will start to see more "middle of the road" athletes performing at the top of the skill level. This is a positive for our team and players. We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated coaching staff and players who really want to work at improving!
