QB Lincoln Arnett Monroe County Rb Jordan Phillip's Monroe County

Devin Young for Monroe County has won the Jonathon Witty memorial liftathon for the past two years. He won his class and out-lifted the two classes above him. He is currently weighs 190 and benches 335 and power lifts the gym!!!! He plays defensive end and tight end for Monroe.

I said it earlier this week, I am very confident Monroe makes it to Regional championship, and I am 85% positive they play Mayfield again at semi-state...that's as far as I can go with it this year! The rest is up to the boys.....can they win State? It only takes them playing like they can and a few breaks from the football gods! They have the talent and their sos has prepared them for some tough teams late in the playoffs!

Its nice to see Monroe County has truly stepped up their sos this year. They will be fine in 2a...

This was a really good road win for the Trojans. It was an enjoyable night watching North run the spread offense. If anyone in 2a can run it as efficient as North they would be very dangerous. Monroe had some key players sitting, but I liked the way the second teams stepped up and played. Overall I was not disappointed at all in our performance. Tackling is still an issue and pressing some receivers is non existent in certain defensive players, they are so very predictable. A good QB will destroy these corners and linebackers if they don't get it together. North has some very well mannered young men, our kids were impressed with the sportsmanship they showed. Two thumbs up to North. I hope they well the rest of the season.

We have enjoyed hosting North. Very good game. They came to play and earned a road win. Good win for the Trojans. 26-18 North It all begins for the Falcons next week.

I love Norths spread offense. They run it very well. They are a clean and well mannered team. No big shots or taunting. Makes football very enjoyable to cheer for.

Yes. I will update by quarter. Or anything really big that happens. It is raining in Monroe and has been for two hours. I hope it moves out by game time but if not I look for a low scoring game. Monroe's field drains very well but wet is wet. It will hurt North more than Monroe. I don't look for us to throw very much tonight with the jv QB starting the game.

Only banged up a little. We have three OL sitting, the starting QB is trying to rest a slight knee sprain, I do believe coach P is going to rest him. And our starting LB is questionable. Bruised lung... No worries, it's not a game that means anything other than bragging rights. Good luck to North and hope they have safe travels.
