I did not see the UC call. I was told a player put his hands on the ref. IMO the refs were not making critical calls and the way they had late whistles made me wonder who was going to get hurt.

This was by far the most intense ball game we had watched this year. Monroe is a second half team. They score 80% of there points in 3rd qt. looking forward to going to Paducah next week.

Yes it did. Coach P decided to go for the win with 35 seconds to go. He called for long snap count which they jumped putting the ball at 1 1/2 Td line. Then he just powered it in for the last second win. I asked him after about that and he shook his his head and said " I know, at home you go for the the tie, but, we wanted it then!"

This tuned out to be an awesome game between two hungry teams. They matched up well. Monroe turned the ball over 3 times in first quarter to which Trigg capitalized. Trigg county was a class act and there players were very fine young men. I wish them well next season. Monroe's crowd really got into this one for the refs were not up to speed and made some very interesting calls and no calls. Good luck Falcons!!! 8-3

Monroe county is 7-3 and have two huge losses to South Warren and Wayne County. Trigg is 4-5 and have played some good competition as well. IMO this will be the closet game the first round will see. If Trigg comes out throwing the ball like there stats say Monroe will be put out in the first round. Monroe does not have a very good pass defense. There stats show this. But the three hour bus ride definitely plays well into Monroe. If this game stays close into fourth quarter I give the advantage to the Falcons. They play fresh legs on both sides of the ball and are deep at the back positions. This will be a really good one at Darrell Carter Stadium.

IT seems that this is going to be the best 3a game in the state for the first round. Who do you think wins and why?

No! They will not score and South will destroy them....

IMO I feel top five look good! The rest could be any order.

Did you play at Monroe? South looked good last night but they need to get their penalties under control. Wayne is the complete package. If they played today I would give it to Wayne by 21. They are big, physical, and dominant. They will shut down the option read. But they do not have a kicker. South has some very good talent, and an awesome kicker that gives them field position a lot. If Iggy is back for South this will be a battle. I think Paducah Tilhman will be your only obstacle to get deep. Take care of them and you will meet Wayne!!!

This was ugly from the flubbed kick turnover!!! South was just the better team tonight... I guess a little payback was due after last year! Good win Spartans.

I would greatly agree that Monroe took an old fashion thrashing from Wayne... I do also believe that South Warren is greatly overrated! IMO Wayne is this years state champs... But I can't count out Corbin or Central. West side of bracket including Tilhman is not a clear front runner or even a close second to the east!!! That's my two cents....not that it's worth two cents:)

My question is if Monroe beats South Warren Friday are they considered a legitimate threat?

[If Wayne County is playing in the state championship game they will have definitely earned it.] They will all earn it in 3a this year!!! No Clear front runner and top five is up in the air!!! I would love to see Wayne county get there this year, those boys in Monticello have worked very hard to build this team to the level they are playing this year. They are a small school and good program that Monroe loves to play and scrimmage. There is a lot of respect and friendship between these programs...

I am anoxic to see how they react to a game they Should have won. These boys have what it takes.
