  1. Maybe Ryle can pull this off. 1-0 shutout if no one gets the word to Holmes.
  2. Boone Co. schools are off today but the Ryle/Holmes basketball game will go on as scheduled for tonight. JV game - 6:00pm Varsity game - 7:30pm Games are at Ryle.
  3. Ryle got off to a good start, McLiesh hit 3 3-pointers in the 1st quarter then Ryle made all their freethrows down the stretch. Coleman had 20 points.
  4. Raiders go to 12 and 5 Ryle 20 16 18 15 - 69 Shelby Co. 7 21 13 15 - 56 Holmes on Monday Highland on Thursday
  5. Ryle 14 15 14 17 60 Copper 3 0 23 8 34 And before anyone says anything, that was Ryle's bench playing in the 4th quarter. For that matter, they played more than the starter did in this game as well. Copper played very well in the 3rd quarter. Thet came out and hit some goods shots with the defense in their face.

    24

24 is off and running this year. I have heard people say Friday Night Lights may be the best show on TV, I am going to have to watch it but I can not believe any show can be better than 24. Jack is the MAN!
  7. Nichols played, picked up 2 fouls early. Ended up I believe with 6 or 7 rebounds for the game.
  8. Raiders hold Cougars to 28% shooting for win at Conner.
  9. Just saw the movie tonite myself, thought it was good. The one I want to see now is TAKEN, it looks like it might be even better. But it is hard to beat Clint, he's a mans man, always has been.
  10. Ryle 10 15 8 15 - 48 SK 2 8 16 7 - 33 Raiders continue to play good defense.
  11. Trent is a great kid, hopefully he will get back soon.
  12. Mitch didn't have one of his better games but everybody has an off day now and then. I am sure he along with the rest of the team is looking forward to getting back out there against Conner. None of the Raiders played particularly well but that is what's different about this year's team, they still won the game.
  13. Great Season for the Tigers and Bulldogs! Congratulations Tigers on another state championship.
  14. I can't believe we are still talking about the Ryle/Cooper game. I was there and I can tell you for a fact Ryle did not try to run up the score. Ryle has 15 players on the roster and they all played. It was one on those nights where Ryle made a lot of shots. Ryle has always played good defense and unfortunitly for Cooper, their shots just did not fall. Ryle did not put on a full course press or play any trapping defense. Ryle scored 31 points in the 1st quarter and the starter were out for the most part 6 minutes into the game. A few played a few minutes in the 2nd quarter and all starters started the 3rd quarter and played maybe 4 minutes and that was it for them. Ryle has pretty good 6 thru 9 players and they played some but the 10 through 15 players played most of the 2nd half. Not sure what else Coach Mullins could have done.
  15. All games can be heard live on the internet. http://khsaa.ezstream.com/play/index.cfm?fuseaction=embstay&id=111FD50A29&Org=KHSAA&CFID=13472449&CFTOKEN=93178509
  16. Ryle had one starter play approx. 15 minutes. Coach Mullins used his bench a lot in this game and there is no way you tell kids that hardly ever get in a varsity game to go out there and not play. This scored could have been a lot worst.
  17. Congrats to SK. Making NKY proud. Good Luck against Trinity. If the Pioneers play a perfect game and get a couple breaks you may be able to get them. No matter what, you have had a great 2nd half of the season.
  18. The score was actually 44-27 at halftime and Ryle outscored Clark Co 19 to 9 in the 3rd quarter. Also to Coop's point, Ryle was whistled for 19 fouls in the 2nd half.
  19. Russell lead the Raiders with 15 points. After falling behind 27-10 in the first quarter the Raiders actually played pretty well.
  20. Ryle played a solid game tonight in a very physical contest. It was 7 on 5 down the stretch but the Raiders hung in there for the win. Kurt Russell played very well and McLeish and Coleman hit some big 3's. Nichols did a nice job inside and Ahern and Lamping hit free throws in the last 15 seconds to seal the deal. It was a good win for the Raiders.
  21. I would look for Lamping to guard McFarland if he gets off to a good start.
  22. When Ryle scored last week against HC, they lined up in their power eye and drove 61 yards for a TD right before the half. I would expect Boone to just keep pounding the ball against HC. Also, HC scoring drives against Ryle started at the Ryle 15, Ryle 28, Ryle 33, and Ryle 11. Ryle’s defensive did play a great game but field position and turnovers just killed them. If Boone can make HC put long drive together for scores, not sure HC will be able to do it. Field position will be very important in this game and if the situation arrives where Boone has a 4th and 1 on say the HC 38 yard line, they should punt and keep HC backed up. I would say which ever team manages field position and does not turn the ball over will win. But I guess you could say that about most game.
