  1. Any team that has injuries to starting skill players can drastically change the course of a game. I honestly feel if Barr was playing, we would be 2-1 and not 1-2. I also think we would probably be favored against GC if he were playing but he isn't.........so who knows.
  2. Seriously. That was told to a Raceland player by a Greenup player at the Greenup Super Quik. He actually said the score was given by one of their superiors at practice. And yes, I hope it motivates anyone in orange who may read this. Check-mate.
  3. TCB, Rams!!!!! This is about defending your turf and County bragging rights.
  4. Don't worry. Rest assure, just because you are alone every decision you make is still wrong.......according to the wife rule.
  5. As great as the 52 yard FG was (and it cleared by a mile), I guarantee you he is more upset with the missed PAT than he is happy with the FG.
  6. Welcome to BGP's, RamFan09! We need all the posters we can get. Well, it's Tuesday and I can feel the emotion and excitement building for our first home game of the year! Ram Nation needs to be at the Stadium being loud and positive. 2 losses has the faithful grumbling, but that does no good on here and it definitely doesn't do anything for the boys when they hear it from the stands. Let's all do our best to cheer for our team and encourage them. BTW, when was the last time we went into the Greenup game with a losing record?
  7. Only one Russell poster so far? Ryan, do feel all alone?
  8. According to Greenup players, the score has been predicted to be 35-12. (That is Greenup with 35). I guess confidence is high in Lloyd. If Raceland is not playing with heart and emotion, they could be right.
  9. You notice Mrs. Sidelinedoc in my avatar wearing a Greenup County sweatshirt from Coach Maynard's era and when Sidelinedoc was on the Musketeer sidelines. Now, that would fire me up if I were a Ram.
  10. This is what I'm afraid of. Except I don't think either team will kick a field goal, so back to Ram's score prediction.
  11. This is a game that Greenup should win 4 out of 5 times just on the shear numbers. However, recently that has not been the case. I know Raceland wants to win but a win means more to the Green, Black and Gold. This is to save face against the smaller school. I remember being embarrassed that we (Greenup) had Raceland scheduled our senior year. I believe Raceland was the 1A district winner that year but had nothing for us. We won that game 33-6 and that was with several starters out with injury. Times and scenerios have changed a lot since the 1985 season with regards to how this game should play out.
  12. Great effort by Miles, terrible tackling by Dixie!
  13. First of all, congrats to Fleming. You guys wanted it more and you earned the victory. Now, my 2 cents on the officiating. Have you ever seen a crew call running into the kicker when you block the PAT? I realize it had no bearing on the outcome but further instills a grander dilemma, How are these guys deemed smart enough to call games year in and year out?! When Micheal Litteral was horse collared in open field after a nice gain and the official pulled his flag out of his pocket and actually went to throw it, stopped and then stuck it back in his pocket!!!!!!!! Then he tells the coaches that he couldn't see it, so he couldn't call it. Why did he pull his flag out if he couldn't see anything to call? And back to my first comment on the officials. The head official has the nerve to come over and say he is sorry that they missed the blocked PAT but no one actually saw the kick blocked on the PAT!!!!!! Amazing. Again, the officiating was terrible both ways. It is sad for the kids. I just wonder if they (officials) are liable if they continue to be incompetent and a kid is hurt or would the KHSAA, since they approve these terrible excuses for officials?
  14. I think this will be closer than most will say, but I am still going with Ashland. They have really impressed me so far this season.
  15. I am at a total loss for words and thoughts for this one. I am so happy for GC to get a win Friday night but I am also saddened by Raceland's lack of effort, emotion and brotherhood. I don't think they quite understand yet that last year's seniors are not here to bail them out. This is the week we see if we have anything in the tank. If you cannot play with emotion in your home opener against the big County school down the river, then it will be a long season. Good luck to both teams and hopefully both stay injury free.
  16. Congratulations to the Tomcats! On the road in a hostile enviroment and bringing home the W.
  17. The way we played in the grid and in some of the Ashland game, I believe it may have been from the Rainbow locker.:thumb:
  18. Barr is still out but improving. He'll be back soon.
  19. I agree with this 100%. Coach Morris get's no love. Such is the life of a defensive coordinator. I believe his bunch has lived up to what he has asked them to do. Bend but do not break. I really wish I could be there tonight. (And I'll throw Russell one of my bones here and shock all of you............) TCB!!!!!!!!
  20. That's what I found out yesterday. The person that told me this said it was attempted but turned away. BTW, I am reporting from what I was told, not first hand knowledge. Raceland fans are not included in the loop with the happenings at GC.
