Holy Cross / Newport Predicitons
love the game replied to KillerCats09's topic in KY Football (High School)
He's fine, guess he was just a little shook up. But I see many post on saying watch Newport to come out aggressive in this one. Well don't expect HC to exactly "lay down" and take it. I think that HC is one of the more physical teams in NKY. After all there theme is "Lay da Wood":thumb: -

All I know is if HC doesn't come out on top in this one I have lost all hope for the Indians. -

I agree, it seems that Koz never figures out the right mix until it's two late. -

Injuries have absolutely killed HC season. Went into the game tonight with 9 injured, 4 starters. Now Marcel their QB has injured his shoulder on his throwing arm. -

So what your trying to say is if Teipel or one of their star players gets injured it's not possible? That is just ignorant. -

It has been a while, but Marcel threw bombs on South Laurel so we know it's possible. -
Brad Herald from Holy Cross he was one of Northern Ky's leading tacklers last year. Unfortunatly for him he broke 3 bones in his foot during a preseason scrimmage and is missing most of his senior year. He came back for the Ryle game and then rebroke 1 bone.

Holy Cross/ Beechwood Predictions

I agree there are alot of IF's, but aren't their always. Like Patriots would still be a great team IF they still had Tom Brady. For the most part any team on any night, to a certain extent. Anything is possible.:thumb: -

I agree, once again if HC shuts down Teipel and makes them pass I think Hc has a very great pass. Beechwood has passed even less than HC this year, if you can believe it. So Hc needs to make Beechwood prove their capable of passing too. -

Ha I'm just as big of a fan for HC as the next guy, but 14? That would be great although I'm thinking more 21-14 HC. :thumb: -
Holy Cross/ Beechwood Predictions

I think Beechwood won by two touchdowns in the fourth not sure though. From what I do remember though is HC kept getting turn overs but the offense couldn't convert so the defense let down. -

The only way I see HC taking this one if HC somehow controls Teipel and brings their passing game. Each year Beechwood puts 8 in the box against HC because every team in KY knows all HC does is run the ball. HC is going to need to mix it up in order to take this one and to not get disappointed on their homecoming. -
Last year HC got amped for this one and were winning 3-0 at half. They will be even more pumped this year though because it is there homecoming. How do you guys see this one playing out?

What about losing to Beechwood and should have lost to NCC. Plus the only reason they continue to schedule like this is because Cov Cath is suppose to win or at least give these teams a game. At least they were before these past to years. What happened? -
HaHa :flame:Please don't talk so much before if all your going to say is, "Maybe we have better things to do." Because you sure didn't have better things to do before the game. Maybe you should practice a little more on your game than just talking it. Also some ball security.

I agree HC is tough, but where are the Jug fans that usually comment. What happened?

Did NCC play all their normal starters? -
Great win for HC. Way to get through the adversity and pull it off with all those injuries.

Isn't Dayton record 0-6. And from what I remembered Lloyd used three quarterbacks against us last year so it really doesn't seem to out of the ordinary.
