The reason they lost was because of poor clock mangement, they had a 2 score lead with 5:01 left in the game and had the ball. Why did they continue to throw the football? Boyle had only one time out left, and Lone Oak had a first down. Run the football and make Boyle use their final timeout and the game is over. Boyle Kicked the field goal with 4 seconds left.:ohbrother:

I can assure you no one in the High School coaching profession does it for the money!

I see Somerset winning this one 28-14. I know regions are different , but I can't see a 6 loss team beating an undefeated team.

Boyle 35-14

Fooball coaches spend January-November coaching their teams-they spend countless hours after practice and weekends breaking down film and game planning for the next team. Believe it or not they rarley get to spend anytime just hanging out with the coaching staff and relaxing. This is a well deserved time off. I will also say that on Thursday coaches attend a coaching clinic all day, which by the way is professional development.

Highlands 54-14

I was very impresesd with the Highlands team. I knew they were talented-but they are much faster in person than on film. I don't see anyone giving them a game in the State finals. I also would like to say that the people at Higlands are a class act. I talked to Coach Mueller before the game and it was a nice conversation. I also got to meet a few of the Bluegrassprep Highlands fans and they were very nice. I came away with a different outlook on Highlands. The players are well coached on both sides of the ball and did their job with no trash talking. Class program!:thumb:

First of all it is just silly to rank high school teams nationaly-since they never play each other. I would be willing to bet that there are 10 teams in Texas and South Florida that are better than Highlands!

Remember rule # 2!! Just kidding-always wanted to do that!!:lol:

Who do you think Highlands will end up playing for the BCS National Championship?

Oh, it will be close, Pulaski is good but they won't blow Highlands out!:laugh:

No doubt Highlands is very good-but Pulaski is better than Johnson Central.

All that I am saying is you seem to think that no one can play with the Bluebirds. Any team that has made it this far is pretty good and will not lay down for Highlands.

What-you mean they don't have 22 D1 players? Reading all the Highlands post you would think they could beat Kentucky. Highlands is Highlands but Pulaski will bring in a group of young men that have been underdogs all year. I don't think your Mighty Bluebird stadium will scare the Maroons. Regardless of the outcome, I think you will be impressed with the Maroons players and their heart.:sssh:

Somerset wins this one and will play for the state title, although I dont think thay will beat Central if they meet. With that being said-Coach Lucas should be named Coach of the year in 3A.
