Whitley is a very good team, but so is Pulaski. Whitley was 10-1 last season when Pulaski made the trip over to Williamsburg to play the Colonels. Whitley jumped out to an early 21-0 lead only to see Pulaski come back to take the lead late in the game. Whitley fumbled the ball (which Pulaski recovered) only to get it back on an inadvertent whistle. Pulaski would have had the ball on the 25 yard line going in with a touchdown lead in the fourth quarter. With that being said Whitley did what it is supposed to do and took the ball and scored to win the game. My point is this year Whitley travels to Pulaski to play a team that has not lost a home game since September 2006. After starting 0-2 Pulaski has won 8 of its 9 games.Whitley will not go over there and win easy!

Which is better Whitley of 08 or 09?

I think if Commonwealth stadium ever gets turf the games will be moved there and no one else will ever get them back.

Whitley ran for 286 yards on Rock and SW ran for 242. Neither team is as good as Bell. Bell will run for 100 yards in the first quarter! Oh and by the way Rock lost both of those games !

Good observation-I think whitley is the best team in District 8, even though they lost to Letcher Central. Pulaski is pretty tough at home and is peaking at the right time and last year took Whitley to the wire at Whitley. Should be a great game Friday night.:popcorn:

You need to get used to Pulaski beating Rock for the next few years. Pulaski returns alot of people next season including the QB and running backs along with the starting O and D lines. You may not want to hear it, but Pulaski will be good for a while down the road. You need to get off the Pulaski bashing and support your team!:sssh::sssh:
