Bellevue played a great game, with Sophomore Tyler Babb pitching a complete game 4 hitter.

Ya know, Bellevue could still be in the Doc Morris as well....

Bellevue gets a grand slam from Hunter Jones, among a few more RBI's distributed throughout the team in the win to advance to play Holy Cross in the finals.

I think it's clear that Bellevue has the more talent right now, as Dayton is a pretty young team. However, Bellevue cannot overlook Dayton like they have done to teams in the past. If they are focused on Dayton, this one will be over in 5. If they are focused on the championship, then who knows what could happen. Does anyone know who's pitching for both teams?

Any games played yesterday? I know Holy Cross defeated Ludlow...

I'm not sure of all his at-bats, but I know he was intentionally walked once, then he was "walked" where the catcher set up way outside and they didn't throw him a pitch he could hit. Not sure of what happened with any other at-bats.

I promise all of you that Nick Wilson was not the assistant last year. None of the 3 coaches for the boys (Varsity, JV, Freshman) worked as a teacher in the school. They were all hired outside. As for the previous poster who seems to really have something against Wilson, I think Wilson could be an excellent asset to this program. As I said before, they need someone from Bellevue, who is young, that will stay put for a while. Wilson fits the bill. JMO

So your saying Bellevue won't make it to the semis. Then who do you think beats them, and why?

Exactly, I'm no CCH supporter but they have won games (even if they were close) day in and day out against all the other Top 10 teams in the region.

My only question is how you can give a first place vote to anyone other than CovCath at this point?

You may be right, not really sure about the situation, but Coach Sorrell has a pretty solid nucleus for his girls program right now, not sure if he would leave. I could see Wilson getting the job though, as he is a Bellevue guy. I think they do need to hire someone from a Bellevue background in order to ensure them a long tenure (and when I say long, I mean longer than 2 years)

Great draw for Bellevue. Not sure who will make it out of the bottom bracket, I'll predict Beechwood though

I believe Lloyd looked very sharp in the game I saw them play on Sunday against a solid Bellevue club. However, looking at their schedule, that looks to be their only big win, and also could consider Walton. The others against St. Henry (2-8), Holmes (3-2), Calvary (unsure), Cooper (0-5), Villa (unsure), and Heritage (unsure). Not taking anything away from Lloyd, because as I said, they looked very sharp, active at the plate and solid in the field. However I can't really say much about them until I see how they look against NCC in the All A.
