  1. Good point. I haven't been out to see Dixie this year, but all the teams they have beat seem to have the mindset of run and gun. This will be a test to see how good Dixie's half court offense is.
  2. This will be a very hard game for Holy Cross to win. It's been almost two weeks since they have last played, and they are going up against a very hot Dixie team. Holy Cross is going to have to play well to win this one.
  3. 100 points is very impressive. Does anyone have the box scores for this game?
  4. Nice win for Highlands. This will give them good momentum going into a game facing Dixie, who is pretty hot right now.
  5. I think if Speed continues to play well that St. Henry will win. I agree with iKoniK though, if St. Henry plays like they did aganst Lloyd, it will be a long night for the Cru.
  6. Holmes does play good defense, but when everyone in your starting line up is 6'2 and up and are as athletic as anybody in the state it isn't that hard to be a good defensive team. The 9th region does not have any outstanding players except for a few on Holmes. It is hard to judge their defense because they don't exactly play great teams in the 9th region.
  7. Holmes is going to continue to get the best players from NKY and some players from Cincinnati. Not saying that Henley recruits because I know he doesn't all I'm saying is that everyone wants to go to Holmes because year after year they have a very good chance of winning the state tournament. IMO Henley only wins because of the great players that go to Holmes.
  8. Its ashame these two teams had to play each other first round. I think this would have been a great championship game.
  9. I think Speed is a huge factor if he plays then I see this being a very close game. If he doesn't play I will take Holy Cross by ten.
  10. What has happened to New Cath? They started the season doing fine, but lately they have been losing a lot. Not just to good teams, but to bad teams as well. If they keep playing like they are they will have no chance in the All A.
  11. I didn't mean to offend anybody, but I said irrelevant because I thought I was reading a thread on the predictions of the Cov Cath vs. Holmes game not about the seating arrangements at Holy Cross.
  12. Holy cross play Newport tonight I think the winner of this game will have a big advantage going in to that All A.
  13. Holy Cross has not played Beechwood or Cov Cath yet.
  14. I just can't believe some people think that Isler can shut down Pittman. Pittman is way too athletic for Isler to handle. Isler is slow, much too slow to guard Pittman. Maybe he could guard Pittman in the post, but I see Pittman taking him to the basket off the dribble or shooting the three. Look for Pittman to have a big night after coming off a bad game against Holy Cross.
  15. I haven't been out to see either team yet, but from what I've been hearing it sounds like they both have similar styles of play.
  16. I just have to comment on Clyde saying that Holy Cross will only score 12 points. Even if the varsity team would be held to that few of points, which I doubt, the JV teams for both teams would come out and surly Holy Cross will score more than 12 points.
  17. Cov Cath scoring 60 points? Maybe if Maile scores 40 points they will put 60 on the scoreboard.
  18. I don't see how everyone could say how Holy Cross is a bad offensive team. I mean sure they are not nearly as good offensively as last year, but it is hard to make up for 27 points a game. But Holy Cross has only played three games. And as for only 29 points at Mason Co. well Mason county has a starting five of players who are 6"4 or taller. It will be hard for any team to match up with size like that, but the Indians were still able to stay in the game.
  19. Regardless of what the score is like it should be a very fun game to watch. There should be a great atmosphere in Cooper's gym.
  20. Even if they don't get it this year they still have the same shot at it next year. They will only be losing one good senior in Housley. I think they will bring home atleast one state title in the next two years.
  21. No the new JV coach was supposed to be Shannon Minor, but their was some complications with the girls coach at Holy Cross, so Shannon is now the head girls coach. Their is not yet a JV coach for Holy Cross.
  22. This is so wrong in so many ways. The three boys from Holmes are not even mentioned in the list. Also, luke Maile isn't even playing this year.
  23. I think sophmore Matt Trammel will be an eye opener at the varsity level this year.
