To be fair over the last, well almost decade, not many teams have stopped Scott County from scoring. It is just a matter of can you score more or not.

I think the major issue is the lower youth levels. The numbers are small to start off right out of the gate. Where in the past they were (in some cases) double what they are now. When does that catch up at the HS level. There is always attrition over time, but if your starting point is low, that doesn't bode well for the situation.

It doesn't take a majority to create issues, you know that.

Some of that is just a small class size for a grade level. I think you will see this cycle back around. Soccer teams are full, kids are not getting to play, parents will make them do something else, football will get more kids again.

Thats not really a fair statement either. Say they get up 28, then decide to work on some things up the middle, not try to just score, and in turn it doesn't get the game to a running clock. Looking at the scoreboard, and using that to determine how the game went can be very unreliable.

After a team dropped out of district play Paintsville need a game, and Douglas only had 9 scheduled, so dumb luck.
