You pointing out how much Mason passed and me telling you he said he wants to shoot more and isn’t happy with his role seems to line up, no? Carson wasn’t a starter at the end of the year. So you can’t be a top 3 starter if you weren’t a starter. I wish Carson hadn’t left but his attitude clearly reflected in his play so if that’s the Carson we were gonna get then I’m glad he decided to go somewhere he’d be happy. His numbers, while bolstered from a strong start, look good, I agree. But if you watched every game, as I did, you’d easily be able to see why he was benched. He was in a different place on the court. And it showed.

Who left that was a top three starter? No one that left this year was a starter at all at least the last 7 games. And if you, for one second, think that John wasn’t putting what he thought was the best five on the court at any point in time...especially down the stretch and into the conference tournament, then there’s no point in continuing the conversation.

All three that left this year are, yes.

John was honest about it in the press release. He was not going to get consistent minutes here. In other words, he wasn’t going to play.

Grades were not the reason Jeff left. And he and John have a very close relationship. He didn’t leave because of that either.

I said it when he left. Mason doesn't care to win. Doesn't care to grow as a player. Mason wants to chuck up 30 shots a game and score a bunch. That's not a knock on him. It's literally what he wants to do.

Same here, I’ve never had that happen and I go at lunch rush hour frequently. They do not make it ahead, that is true. But that’s a good thing. Also as to the statement above. Correct, the sauce doesn’t make the chicken but if the chicken is good for both, the sauce could absolutely be the differentiator.

No head scratching here. These two guys chose to leave because they weren’t willing to accept their role on this team. I hope they go find a spot on whatever new team they find where they can be the star.
