Generally, when I hear "right down the middle at the belt" it's never right down the middle at the belt. Not all umpires are good behind the plate. #9 is really good behind the plate. I'm sure there were pitches from both sides that fans/coaches/players disagreed with. Of course, the person with the best angle is right behind the plate but I digress. So, I'm sure this game was filmed. If you can find a pitch right down the middle at the belt that was balled I'll write a $100 check to your favorite charity. Note: I'm not talking about ball 4 in the 7th on a low pitch. I'm talking "down the middle at the belt."I'm pretty sure that Conner's first hit in the championship game didn't come until the 8th.
