  1. Maybe another thread but I'm curious, is Jenkins 100% yet. It would be a shame if he couldn't be 100% for the postseason.
  2. McGraw has been out for the year with injury.
  3. After reading all this about Clark's averages it seems they are similiar to FC with a very balanced attacked and shared scoring.
  4. I spoke to Rogers and that was his high night and I believe he had 19 that game. He is capable of doing that but since almost all of GRC's offense is run through Stenzel and then Zollo I couldn't see his average being the same as or more than those two.
  5. I would move some teams around a little bit with a finished top 10 looking like this: 1. Scott County 2. Holmes 3. Eastern 4. Elliott County 5. Shelby Valley 6. Jeffersontown 7. Franklin County 8. Ballard 9. Corbin 10. Anderson County I should probably date these my 2-18 rankings moving Franklin County to 7th after last night.

  7. Is 15 points 10 rebounds a night exaggerated? Wazoo said Stenzel is averaging 15 ppg and everything they run is through him. I would guess Zollo averages around 14 and 11. I could see the 10 rebounds/game happening for Rogers, but I don't see him averaging the same as Stenzel or definitely not more than Zollo. He has not done that yet this year because he has not had the opportunity with those looks from three. Last night Watkins played much more because of foul trouble, got the open looks, knocked them down and stayed in because he got hot. He has always had touch and he has done this a few times last year. He is a crowd favorite like you stated. I believe his nickname is Clam Chowder because he is chunky and SMOOTH!!!
  8. I highly doubt FC was scared, but they did come out passive for some reason. However that reason was not fear.
  9. I was hearing about his ankles about 2 weeks ago. They should be healed by now, Donovan's happened Friday against Madison Central, there's a difference. However, Hatton got it done every way tonight, from three, driving to the bucket, and at the charity stripe. His offense and Zollo's rebounding kept GRC from being blown out.
  10. Bryan Station is capable of beating anyone, and losing to anyone because they are such a streaky shooting team.
  11. Only 4 players score for GRC. Not too good. Injuries hurt them but they have been playing well lately even missing Rogers. Donovan has a sprained ankle for FC and it has taken away from his quickness he has on most big men. It kept him from what he is usually able to do on the perimeter.
  12. Somebody close this thread. Another was posted first.
  13. He doesn't always put up a double double, but who does? And if you leave him wide open he will stroke it. Even after hitting two in a row Zollo stayed at about the free throw line and Watkins had to knock down one more three to get respect. I think GRC bad offensive night was all FC's defense. When Meyer was on Stenzel, every shot he took was contested. He did most of his work when someone other than Meyer was on him. FC also plays very good help-side defense. Looking at GRC's schedule there is no doubt IMO FC plays better defense than any team they have faced.
  14. Sorry, 5 was the closest GRC cut it with about 20-something seconds. FC only missed one free throw down the stretch.
  15. The difference in the game was the 3rd quarter and bench play. All starters but Meyer had 2 fouls early in the second quarter and the bench, particularly Watkins, stepped up big time. FC won the third quarter 24-7 and were up by as many as 16 in the game. GRC mad a small run late but 8 was the closest they could get as FC gave Stenzel a wide open lay-up at the last second because the game was over. Zollo really impressed me. If he grows to 6'11 he will be a good steal for Billy G. He works extremely hard especially on the glass and it pays off since he averages 11 rpg.
  16. I think they are including Anderson. Ballard, Mason, and Anderson are their three top 20 wins.
  17. There was zero sarcasm in the post. And the statement he made was that FC probably has not faced a defender as good as Williams and my statement was they have faced better.
  18. It could bite them, or it could bite Catholic if they are upset and left out of the regional tournament.
  19. Williams does have great quickness, but he doesn't have length. Other teams FC has played have kids that can match his quickness and possess length. Meyer usually draws the other teams best defending guard and here are some defenders that he's faced the past 2 years that are better than Williams on defense: Arrez Henderson (Holmes), Rico/J.J. Johnson (Holmes), Ge'Lawn Guyn (Scott County), Brandon Triche (Jamesville DeWitt, NY), and Ronald Baker from Wings Academy out of Brooklyn who is extremely quick and will sign with a division 1 program in the spring. I don't think Williams will guard Meyer because of size but I doubt he defends as well as any of these players. And these same players have also guarded Hall at times in the same games.
  20. As the new rankings come out today and tomorrow morning this game will become an even more hyped match-up because both teams will likely move up. Cantrall #11 FC vs. #13 GRC. I think the new BGP and AP poll come out tomorrow morning. I would guess that at least one team would be in the top 10 in those. My prediction- BGP #9 FC vs. #10 GRC...AP poll- #8 FC vs. #11 GRC
  21. I think there is definitely more than one 11th region team that is top 10, probably 3 or 4 of them. But everyone in the region keeps beating each other so it forces teams to drop in the computer rankings.
  22. 7 Lexington Christian Academy 5 Franklin County 3 Frankfort High 2 Bryan Station 1 GRC Tiebreak: LCA
  23. Wow. Good news for teams in other districts in the 11th.
