Witch hunt is an apt description. If I remember my history correctly: 1) The people burned were not actually witches; 2) The people who started the hunts were narrow minded with their own agendas; 3) The witches were convicted by a minority of the people in the community; 4) No good came from the aftermath.

CCH Has a New (Assistant) Basketball Coach

Great addition, but what CovCath REALLY needs right now is an Infectious Disease specialist. -
CovCath Coaching Situation (Who is next?)
scout replied to Eta Rho's topic in KY Football (High School)
I just hope that the people Rowe consults to select a coach know more about football than he and the AD do. I also hope that fundraising is not the primary consideration for who should build this program. -
As I hear more details, the CovCath administration should be ashamed of themselves at how this went down. I am not surprised that Brossart was asked to leave, but they way they did it was classless. The way Rowe's first year is going so far he'd be smart to remember this. As for who wanted him to stay and which want him to go, I think there are a bunch of delusional parents out there. Some of these kids could not have played for Vince Lombardi and lived up to the expectations.

My apologies guru. I'm just shocked about this whole situation. I jumped to conclusions. -

Jared Lorenzen? where are you getting this information? -
Some may question this young man's sanity, but NEVER his commitment nor his intensity. I heard he was a secret government agent sent to take care of somethings over there. Seriously, we welcome him back. We've been praying for the family.

I'd be willing to bet that at some point in this game CovCath will, again, have at least three Soph's on the floor.

I think Maschinot deserves some credit for his performance tonight. He did have a couple of not-so-good passes, but he held his own. He moved the ball well and made some good feeds. You are correct that he'll get there. -

Clyde, Excellent assesment of the game. Actually only four Sophs dressed/played varsity tonite: Thelen, Machinott, Connely, & Heudephol -
Thelen is only dressing for varsity now. Maschinott did not dress JV for this game. Good job by the Colonels hanging tough and coming from behind to pull this one out.

Mr. Cantstop, As much as it may pain me, I have to agree with OhYea. This team performs much better when they go low. Against Muhlenburgh North, CovCath did not go low in the first half. They did in the second and won. In this game they went off the rails when they stopped the inside game. From what I am told, against Lousiville St. X, the paint on CovCath's end of the court might as well of been wet, 'cause nobody was in it. The inside game is not THE answer for this team, but it is definitely part of the answer. -

You are correct. In all these posts, everyone has lost sight of the great effort of the Generals. They can take a great deal of pride in the fact that they never gave up. The young man (num 12?) who launched that three right at the end had confidence in himself and his team. Great job Generals. -

No offense taken, CovCath it is Wellbrock hustled his butt off last night. Best effort by him all season..... unfortunately way too few of his shots (layups, jumpers, & FT's) went in. Thelen played well but just didn't get the ball down low. He spent too much time at the top of the key. On a positive note, impressive win by CovCath JV. They remain undefeated. Readinger stepped up, took some hard fouls, and knocked down some threes. Not positive but they were pretty close to perfect at the charity stripe. -

Another key stat is that CCH was up by double digits for most of the game. Things began to fall apart mid 3d quarter. CCH withered against the press. -

What is wrong with Jackson? Nothing serious or long term, I hope. -
What were Trammel's early fouls? How deep does Dixie go into their bench?

I spoke to someone who went to the game and they said that this wasn't a good win (not sure there is such a thing as a 'bad' win) for CCH because O'boro was "really, really bad". Was CCH that sloppy? How many turnovers? Missed bunny shots? Did O'boro press at all? Edited some puncuation. -

You are dead on there. There is no way to get the ball inside if the guy bringing it down the court picks up his dribble just over half court. If the JV guard can get the ball to a position where he can make a pass that will lead to an offensive play, I say put him in. CCH has too many resuce attempts with ball handlers stuck in no-man's land because they picked up their dribble. On another note, someone pointed out the parallels between CCH football and basketball this year. The varsity teams struggle to pull it together and the JV teams have performed well. No matter if that is chemistry or talent, they need to tap into that before this gets too far out of hand. -

For CCH there are only three football players playing basketball, Isler, Robinson, & Connelly, and they have been back for a couple of weeks now. What happened to CCH in the 3d period of this game? It seemed close, at the score, at half. -

Offensively, CCH was worse than terrible. If you looked at the coaches clip board it must have said, 1st Down: Deters; 2d Down VanSant; 3d Down Isler thows the ball over everyone's head; 4th Punt. -
CovCath vs. Johnson Central predictions

I don't think anyone has to worry about the Cov Cath fans. From what I've seen, they pack in their own beverages, even if the game is two miles down the street!!
