A couple of district and region games, so now whose on top. I've got: 1. Harrison 2. Scott/Montgomery 3. Scott/Montgomery 4. GRC And from there I'm not very sure.

I'm not taking anything away from Montgomery. They did a great job keeping their composure and getting the HUGE outs when they needed them.

I don't think that cost them the games. The strike zone was awful for both teams and was very inconsistent. GRC walked on strike threes too.

They definately did. They left the bases loaded 3 times, and 2 of those times they had them loaded with less than 2 outs.

It's all going to come down to who can execute. It should be a very good game.

Everyone has a bad game. I haven't seen him play recently, but i've heard he might be a D1 catcher.

Heath is not a bad ball club either.

The day that it rained a lot we went down to play there and they had a field tarp that kept the infield in playing condition, the outfield was a little wet. But I can't imagine it not being playable because of the rain we got yesterday.

Thats what i was thinking. The ball park can have homeruns hit out of it. There were two Montgomery County homeruns when they played there.

I heard they were projecting him to play in the bigs around 2010, but last i heard he tore up single A ball.

They came at bad times too. MC gave them 5 outs one inning and 6 the next and you can't do that and expect to win.

I wouldn't go counting on that being the finals yet. There are a few other good teams in that region with Scott and Montgomery County. They have to get to the finals first.

It was either last year or the year before that when i heard about an 8th grader that pitched for Harrison. I'm pretty sure they had a couple starting in the outfield that year as well.

What I don't get is if Montgomery County is such the clear cut favorite, why did they not get a single vote for the top 25 in state while Clark had some.

It has to matter a little bit. In our district I would much rather play Paris than Clark County in the first round, and i'm sure its that way in a lot of the other districts. I understand that it definately matters how you play in late May and June, but it definately matters winning games, especially district, right now.

Don't get me wrong Clark has a good program, but they graduated a lot of pitching and a lot of their hitting from last year. Seeing them play over the summer, and i know that Bennet and their catcher didn't play but i saw them get beat pretty handely.

I don't really pay attention to these polls until later in the season. When you have the team that ended up at number 22 with a vote for first then you kind of see how realistic they are.

Who all have they played if they have scored 99 runs and only allowed 8?

I've never even heard of something this out of hand. As a player I'm not sure which would be worse, losing that badly or the team having to not play hard at all just to finish the game out. I think the only ones to blame though are the coaches for letting it get that bad especially if it was already 32-0 after 1 inning.
