  1. I don't have a dog in this fight, but it is nice to see someone can show some sportsmanship, that should be taught first in any athletic program. Congrats St.X
  2. Are there any 40 times posted for the receivers in bold? Thanks!
  3. I didn't notice that. Thanks! (Late poker game last night)
  4. Nice random list, I wonder what the numerical list (1-25) would look like? :idunno:
  5. Is everybody 100% healthy now? I know HHS had some "walking wounded" in the earlier threads.
  6. Confident? They still have to bring their A game every week,or somebody might surprise them.
  7. Great Post! Everything we do in life has risks, the key is to make them minimal.
  8. I heard Kentucky was trying to have them banned, but I don't know if it has happened yet.
  9. Is it worth the risk of heat exaustion, heat stroke or even death? Your thoughts?
  10. With Nichols and Roller being potential D1 signees at TE, its unusual, you just don't hear about great tight ends in high school. My memory is fading but the last ones I remember are Smith from Highlands and Jacobs from NCC,but to have two of this caliper in the same class is very unusual. JMO.
  11. I agree, but with all of the great recievers,I can see Bardo having great numbers in the passing stats also, that may hold the rushing yards down for both Austin and Will. Now if your talking combined yardage for both players (recieving and rushing for Collinsworth) and (rushing and passing for Bardo) I really can't think of anyone who would come close to thier numbers, can you?
  12. His all purpose yards will put him on top of the list.
  13. Congrats to all the people involved with Ft. Thomas Highlands football. A special congrats to all the coaches, who bring out the best in all these young men,not only preparing for football games, but for life. This preseason ranking is an early "thank-you"for your time and effort. NOW BRING HOME THAT STATE TROPHY!!! :thumb:
  14. Here we go again!! (go ahead, beat that dead horse)
  15. How do you know Highlands is not better than X or T this year? The only way to find out who is better is to play each other. Trinity and Highlands both play Cincinnati St.X this year, maybe we can compare the scores of both games, but that would not be a very accurate way to decide who is better.I know X and T have great teams every year ,but I think they got the rankings right. :thumb: Go Birds!!
  16. Who were the teams in that clip that he was running against? Looks like the young man has a lot going for him,if he can do that against quality teams. He looks like he has both speed and talent.
  17. If I was in high school, lifting that kind of weight, I would quit school and try out for the U . F. C. and make some serious money. Can you say TapouT?:isurrender:
  18. What Kentucky high schools offer season tickets? It seems to me that all schools should. Please list your school and tell us if they have season tickets. If they don't,why not?
  19. BS lost the other four regular season games by a total of 20 points combined. Then lost to HIGHLANDS,in the first round of the playoffs by less than a TD.Do you think the players lost to graduation might be replaced by better players, D1 or not? I think that is very possible, don't you? JMO.
  20. I don't jump on any bandwagons. By the way,I was at the HHS and BS game,(APPARENTLY YOU WERE NOT) and they played excellent the whole game. They were a young team last year, and I know they have a lot of returning starters. They have both size ,speed and a very deep team (you said it yourself D1 talent) . It sounds like a receipe for a major upset. IMO this is their year that they will get it done. This thread asked for a SLEEPER 6A team and BS is my choice. One more thing, I don't root for BS, I ride the Highlands band wagon, since I was born and raised in Ft. Thomas and a grad there. Good luck to your team if you do play BS,YOUR GOING TO NEED IT.
  21. Don't forget Bryan Station is 6A now. I don't know the 6A schedule, but if X and T play them they will have their hands full. :scared:
  22. I figure if your a D1 candidate that you have the SIZE and SPEED to play at the next level. Size and speed= harder hits. What would you rather be hit by a 230lb linebacker or a 160lb defeensive back? (Think about it!!)
  23. I thought it might be interesting to hear who the hardest hitting players, past and present, might be from Northern Ky. Please list players name, position, and school. I would think with all of the D1 talent in the area, that it would be a rather long list. One that I can name right off the top is Oliver Head of HHS, from last years team. :thumb:
