  1. What grade is he going to be in? Is anyone going to tell us his name?:idunno:
  2. Knowing Brandon, I'm sure he is doing everything possible to get back to 100%. You won't find a better person or athelete anywhere. He is dedicated to Highlands football. We can't wait to see him play again.
  3. I know the birds have a lot of talent at the LB position, like always.Does anybody know who the starters might be? Is there any sophomores or juniors who might have a chance of starting at LB this year for the birds? It seems to me that the defense is always intense. There is never a shortage of intensity at HHS on defense or offense ,thats what makes them great!
  4. I know Bryan Station gave State CHAMPION Highlands all they could handle LASTyear, losing in the final minutes. (GREAT GAME) Highlands has one wide reciever and special teams return player, that has recieved MANY ALL AMERICAN NOMINATIONS (as a junior,I might add). Also,HHS has some LBers and some linemen you might want to look at also before claiming that some of your players are the best in the state. If your looking for names I'll give you one......COLLINSWORTH. With all due respect, you can figure out who the other players are, or maybe ,my bird friends can help me recall the names that I have forgotten. (On a side note) Good luck in 6A,WITH ALL THAT TALENT, you should be STATE CHAMPS.(does X and T agree?)
  5. How are the HHS walking wounded doing? Hopefully Highlands can keep everyone injury free this year. After last year, we have had our share of injuries.
  6. How many starters is the birds losing to graduation? How many of them were two way starters? Did any of them play on special teams?
  7. I would like to congratulate ALL of the players on this years State Championship Team! Every one of you did Fort Thomas proud!! :thumb:
  8. I How do we purchase these tapes if we aren't going to the banquet? I'm interested in a team tape as well as a individual tape. Thanks!
  9. I really didn't see other top QB's play this year ,so I can't compare them to TG.When I watched Tony,I thought he had a great arm and was very accurate with his passes. He also was a very good decision maker especially when the game was on the line. He's a big guy that could run the ball, and is as tough as they come. I hope he gets some D1 looks,(offers),because I think he can get the job done. Great person, player, and comes from a great family. Good luck T.G. Any offers yet? Please keep us posted. (Thanks)
  10. I'm chilled,always have been!!Just stating the facts,my friend.
  11. Austin has been running back kickoffs and punts for TD's for two years now.As previously posted by familly tradition, teams avoid throwing the ball his way because he is so good.(you might say Deon Sanders like!) I think Austin had six pick offs as a sophomore.(yes, his sophomore year!)In my opinion,Mr. Football will come out of Northern Ky. By the time the award comes around, there may be a few surprize nominations also.
  12. In my opinion,Brandon missed getting a lot more awards by being injured in the Ashland game. You will see that Austin and Brandon will have a huge impact on the field this year as both of them will be seniors. Having Will Bardo at QB ,I would think the birds will have a lot of college scouts watching and fighting over all three of them. They are big time players,on a big time stage!
  13. NOW,have we convinced you that Austin has BLINDING SPEED?
  14. No his last name didn't get him this award. What I think got him this award was his excellent pass routes, blinding speed, football IQ, his ability to create seperation, and being able to catch passes in the clutch(remember the catch at the Bryan Station game that won it for the birds?)I forgot,he does kickoff returns and punt returns too,and is not to shabby doing those either. When he doesn't have the ball,he will be throwing great blocks down field for his teamates, because Austin is a great team player. Heck,I wouldn't be surprized to see him working the consession stand at half time.Congrats Austin, great day for Highlands, and K.Y. football.:thumb:
  15. Sounds like you did your homework, and I didn't. What do I know? Thanks for the info.
  16. I am glad Highlands is being considered for the Herby event. They bring a lot of fans, have a great team, and usually are compettive with anyone they play against.I would like to see them play an Ohio 5A team and not a 3A. As we all know,Highlands is a 3A,playing in a 5A division in K.Y. I.M.O. this is the year that we could beat one of the POWERS in OHIO.:flame:
  17. I do agree that Tim is the face of Leslie County High School, the part that I don't agree with is Tim being one of the greatest athletes in H.S. sports history. Heck,I'm not even sure that he was one of the best football players in high school history. I.M.O. athlete describes a ton of people, not only in football, but in all sports.Yes,Tim was a great Q.B. ,but I.M.O. not the greatest athlete.:thumb:
