During the preseason I didn't hear anything at all about Cincy X . What happened besides beating two Ky. teams?

Does anybody know if this years X team is better than last years Colerain team?? What are the differences and similarities?? A lot of returning players for HHS played against Colerain, so I thought it might get some kind of read on how the game might play out.

Did I miss something? When did Ohio State,Florida,Oregon State,and USC. become pro teams. I know what your saying so there is no reason to continue this discussion. It was a pleasure conversing with you. Have a nice day. GO BIRDS!!!!!! WE BELIEVE!!!! :thumb:

Actually I wasn't comparing anyone to anyone! All that I was doing is showing some examples, to the many highschool athletes that read BGP, that the underdog sometimes wins when they are not suposed to!!! (you do realize high school kids read this website don't you?? ) I'm just trying to be a good role model and show a positive attitude for all kids playing sports in highschool or anywhere else. Remember about 2 years ago Oregon State went and knocked off the #1 U.S.C. Trojans on their home field? Then Florida went to Ohio State and knocked off the Buckeyes in the horseshoe,while everyone thought Florida didn't stand a chance of winning that game. What happened,The Gators went and totally dominated the Buckeyes. That, my friends, is why they play the game!!! I know that was college teams, but it just shows you what can happen if you believe!!! Once again,birds up 36-7 in the 4th quarter and Roller is still in the game,why?He was all over the place tonight. He still is having to fight off a blocker or two before making the tackle.He was making plays sideline to sideline and even got a pick.Dierig played a great game tonight also. Birds still need to work on outside containment. Over all good game both O and D . (JMO)

Is it really an advantage ,like in NKY,when most visiting teams travel 30-40 minutes on a bus,and bring almost all of their fan base with them? I've never been to Elders " pit" but I would have to say ,from what I have read, that is one place where it does apply. Does your team have an advantage while playing at home?

After last weeks loss, do you really think BC's defense will have improved enough , in one week, to stop or even slow down the high powered offense of Highlands? Your not serious are you?? :laugh: :laugh:

This thread is a little premature considering Highlands plays Boone County this week. Maybe you can tell us something about Cincy X ,in the meantime.on your basis for your prediction.(We already heard that they are big and athletic). Have you seen Highlands play this year? If so,how do they match up talent wise? (Last year HHS played your Cardinals,they were also big and athletic ,yea we lost 33-18 and our star running back was watching the game on the side line with a broken leg .) That game was played at Colerain.

You must not know about Highlands football, everyone knows Highlands never overlooks anyone. I must say I'm guilty of overlooking teams,but that's my problem.

I'll be at the HHS -Boone County game.As far as the T and Cinti X game,I already know who the winner is going to be!

Did you happen to see the final score of the Highlands (KY) and Withrow (OH) score? It was 21-0 in favor of the HHS birds!! Now in case you didn't know,Highlands is not in L'ville,so when HHS plays Cinti. X in two weeks, you might want to hold that thought until the game is decided on the field.Looks to me like this little (3A actually) school took your big boys to the woodshed,with a big goose egg on the Ohio side of the scoreboard!!! :ylsuper:

Along with the interception,there was a fumble on one of the kickoff returns by HHS. I believe two turnovers is two too many.(JMO)

The D was far from good and it seems like everybody knows what the weaknesses are. As for the offense,too many turnovers. All it's going to take is a turnover or two against somebody like St. X,and you can turn out the lights the party is over.The fat lady will be singing loudly. Special teams also needs to get their act together.How is everybody returning kickoffs right up the middle for big yardage against the birds?? Don't get me wrong,there was some great plays on both sides of the ball for the birds,extremely hard hits by the middle Lb (roller),some great catches by Buten and great runs by A.C. The birds need to keep working hard,and maybe we can surprize the team from Ohio when they come to Ft.Thomas. Go birds ,one game at a time. :thumb:
