I have to agree.Two keys to this game is a)can the Birds D stop the big running backs of JC and B) can JC stop the high powered O of the Birds? One thing that nobody has mentioned,last game the Birds had many holding penaltys that brought back some big plays against them.That just can't happen this week. One last comment, this sounds like a hard hitting affair, I hope both teams bring plenty of smelling salts!! Go Birds!!!!

I think after the season is over is the best way to rank the teams,don't you?It's a shame that great football programs can't find a way to play each other.It's the same argument every year,who is better HHS,LSX ,Trinity and even SK gets in the conversation once in a while. Highlands beat Cincy X and nobody else did in Ky.Does that make them best in state? NO!!! Why,because they didn't play the Ky teams head to head! You can argue until the cows come home,but it's always going to be "my team is better than yours". Just hope everyone stays injury free and brings home a state championship trophy! :popcorn:

Ok, I don't know anything about Boyle Co. this year. Did BC. have an offense to go with their D ? I can assume from your post that JC beat BC this year? What was the score of that game? Was their a lot of turnovers that may have influenced the final score? How many players for Boyle go both ways? Please forgive my ignorance on these two teams,they are two that I don't follow at all. Anything can happen,thats why they play the game.

So Highlands need to stop the running game of JC? Put nine in the box and make them beat you with the pass, (Whats so hard about that?) To add to the mix,when HHS is on offense,go to the spread ,run the recievers deep every play and wear down JC's two way starters. What does that imply when their fans are talking about kicking the ball out of bounds,and not risking a long runback? It doesn't sound like they have much faith in their coverage team,does it? Does anyone know if the two way starters also play on special teams? Don't get me wrong,I'm not taking anything away from JC,I'm sure they have a great team,but they have not faced a D like Highlands this year.Believe me,I'm not a coach! (JMO)

Bryan Station always plays with heart. I felt badly for them when they lost to Highlands last year.That was a very tough loss losing in the final minutes,now this year losing in overtime,WOW!!!! Those players for BS have nothing to hang their heads about,they represented their program and school with class!!!

Thats right it's beat cov-cath . We should get this shirt and maybe throw in a matching hat. How about blaze orange with florescent green printing? We want everyone to see him in this shirt .

I think this will be a hard fought game with Highlands winning.(on a side note) nice artical on Mike Mitchell,Highlands grad playing for the NFL Raiders. they say he is 6'1 230lbs and ran a 4.43 forty. This article was in Ft.Thomas Traditions magazine. He represents Highlands well!!

Another question , I've been to two games at the same school and the chain gang has not come on the field for a measurement,and their was many times it was close to a first down. Is there a reason they don't measure for first downs anymore?
