My wife has worked for Krogers for 32 years . I don't think it would be a good idea , they really don't like anything going on in the parking lots except for customer parking. (I know that doesn't answer your tailgating question but that is the best I can do.) They really get upset when you have a "for sale" sign in your car window and park it in their lot.

If the birds want to keep winning,they need to work on the passing game.I just think they have had too many dropped passes that should have been caught. I don't know if they have even attempted to throw it to the tight end(whomever that may be).It seems that last year that the tight end was a huge weapon for the birds. (JMO) :idunno:

Was the cheap shot on the kicker a designed play?How long did you practice that particular play? It took Ryle exactly one play to start playing dirty. How can you say a cheap shot on the kicker is acceptable and enjoyable, we just found out how much class you have. That has got to be the lowest class coment that I have ever read on BGP. IMO,if your team is not already "fired-up" at game time,you have not done your job as a coach.Now if it is last minute instructions then thats a different story.

There is nothing more satisfying than a class 5A state title,especially if it"s#19. :thumb: Go birds!!

There is not anybody going to score 50 or 60 against Manual ,I don"t care who you are! If you could predict somebody scoring over 50 against Manual,who would your choices be? (We would play up three classes,but they won"t let us) :laugh: :laugh:

You don't have to win every game by 50, 60, or 70 points to be considered the best in the state. Yea, Highlands won their first game by only 11 points, but they are a 3A playing in a 5A class and they beat a 6A team.

Who do you think is best in the state? According to preseason rankings, it seems like a lot of poles and people think Highlands is best in the state,until somebody rains on their parade. I guess you think its T or X, they haven't even played a real game yet this season!!!

It really doesn't matter who said it.it still will be used for locker room wall paper.

Im sure by now that this post is up all over the Ryle locker room. I have complete and total respect for any team that plays Highlands twice. Ryle is getting better every year , they have a D1 tight end and a very good coaching staff. The winner of this game,no matter who it is, will gain a lot of respect in NKY. I expect nothing less than a great game from two quality programs. In my opinion destoyed is an awfully strong word to use in any high school football prediction. I'm just hoping for a hard fought game,and pray that there are no injuries for either team.

Just remember,when we talk about the size of the school,we are talking about total enrollment,boys and girls. Now look at all the bigger schools with all boys,it would seem that they would have a HUGE advantage over any other co-ed school,with more BOYS to choose from.

Since the Manual game wasn't a blowout,like everyone thought it was going to be,I'm sure the remaining opponents on Highlands schedule are motivated just a little bit more also. They all think they have a legit shot at knocking off the birds. I'm hoping that the Manual game was a rude awakening for the birds,if they don't learn from this game, it might be a disappointing season.Forget all the hype,the national champs stuff , and just go play football!!

I have a question for the Highlands faithful. Since X and T don't have regular games this week, and many players being scouted by U of L and possibly UK, does Dale leave these players in regardless of the score to get more recognition, knowing that there will many college recruiters in attendance?

My opinion probably doesn't mean that much to anyone but here it goes,first of all,neither team has played a REAL game this season. Highlands QB has never started a VARSITY game at QB. Then we have a head coach saying this may be the best team ever at HHS. Now we have the fans talking about this game being a total blowout,probably knowing nothing about Manual this season. Coach Mueller usually has the birds prepared ,but all it takes is a couple of turnoversand then the momentum changes,then you find yourself in a nail biter. (Remember Bryan Station last year?) Highlands better bring their A game every week,because everyone wants to be known as the team that beat "THE BEST TEAM IN THE STATE" Go birds, one game at a time. :thumb:

I look for Abner to have a lot of tackles for loss and Roller to have a big game if Manual doesn't double team him 50% of the time like male did. Thats one thing about Highlands, you never know who the super star of the game might be,they are all exceptional players .(No weak link in this chain)
