Coach Bevars is one of the best coaches in the business. North Hardin has a lot of talent this year and there's zero doubt in my mind that coach Bevars will have them hitting on all cylinders come January and February.

The game is not all about points. Stephen Curry's 44 points were not enough for Davidson to pull out a win against Oklahoma. When you play against 6th, 7th, and 11th region teams, getting the win is more important than style points. FC won the game against a solid Louisville team. Props are in order regardless of Meyers and Donavon didn't score much.

Not doubting you at all on this, but they'll have to do better than this against the likes of Scott County and Lexington Catholic. I'm thinking BE is a middle of the pack 6th region team, but its early in the season.

It was good start for Manual. Don't think the season could have started any better than with a win over the 11th ranked team North Hardin. NH will be an outstanding team and will vie for the 5th region by tourney time. I am not sure, but I do think both teams were missing players. Manual has a football player still not in the lineup and NH was missing a player in Bramlett due to injury.

He will keep working. After all, is there any other way to play other than playing hard and outworking your opponent? I would say leading a team in nearly every statistical category is pretty well-rounded. The focus is on training, the senior season and helping the team, and selecting the right college.

What Richie does from the arc won't be of consequence. It'll be what he does in the paint that carries SC. He's their main paint threat. What I loved about Phares game from watching him in the KY Allstars was his ability to pass the ball from the interior. He playled a great 2-man game too. And for a big guy, Phares won't slow the break. He can get down the court. He's the leader.

A great spring and summer that included 3 top showings in allstars, aau, and camps that has led to more offers and greater acknowledement from the ranking experts. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's good for any KY high school player to have options to play college basketball at the highest level and earn a great education. Not to mention having the opportunity to play a senior year in every major event in Kentucky against the highest level of competition.

Reports have Ballou of Adair going to Morehead State. Anyone confirm? Ballou is a top-notch young man.

He has Division I interest but was checking out the Knights program. He wouldn't be the only player on the roster that stayed close to home, spurning Division I schools. Remember, former New Albany standout Braydon Hobbs is a freshman with the Knights and had plenty of Division I offers.

Now, the Shamrocks have a freshman that the coaches want to know about when they come to check up on Sewell. Freshman guard Chris Harrison has not even played a game for the Shamrocks and already he has scholarship offers from Akron and Western Kentucky University.

Your right. All the gurus and college coaches are wrong. If he was only as quick as Guyn he might have chance.

Indeed Evan did work hard. All the talk about being a low D1 school should be dismissed. Its still D1 and it aint easy getting to that level. The 09 class will turn out to be a solid class in Kentucky as it is said that Adair's Ballou is headed to Morehead State. The more the merrier.

Strange is an understatement. Manual wins the district over the top 5 and King of the Bluegrass champ Male and gets a #1 seed only to draw top 10 Jtown first round of the regionals.

110% agree. No way in the world Manual beats them. Its over, back up the van, its time to move to a softer region. Anyone out there want to trade spots with Manual. Will pay for moving expenses.

Who is your team? I know where your coming from, but play Manual and then say that.

That's impressive by Holmes. What's makes them scary is not just the talent, but its talent with experience now.

You did not say anything that was incorrect. Absolutely Manual will not be as strong without Kimbro and the rotation changes. Players will need to step up their games. Its a challenge and it should be fun. Kimbro is a great kid and I really hope he succeeds wherever he goes including this year at Prep.

Kimbro missed 11 games last years and Manual went 9 - 2 in those games. He also missed all summer league games and Manual went 19 - 3 (two of those losses were without Jenkins too). Yes, it does change things and Kimbro will be missed but Manual will be fine. There's still a lot of talent there. Its the deeper challenge that some thrive on and with the state's toughest schedule there's no greater challenge this season.
