Trinity High School has junior - Josh Sewell - who is getting a ton of attention from Division I college coaches.

 

Now, the Shamrocks have a freshman that the coaches want to know about when they come to check up on Sewell.

 

Freshman guard Chris Harrison has not even played a game for the Shamrocks and already he has scholarship offers from Akron and Western Kentucky University.

Yes he is

This player was and is the best player I have ever seen at the middle school level. He he has a high basketball IQ, can shoot, defend, and handle the ball. IMO he is also a top notch kid, I hope he does big things.

Will he play varsity this year?

Its just sad that the Crosby middle team split, they were something smooth to watch!

I heard he is only 5'6"? I know he is a freshman, and I'm sure he will grow, but until then, I suspect he could have trouble against bigger and more physical guards. How tall was his Dad?

His father is around 6'3".

I'd take him against any bigger/more physical guards in the state, IMO he can compete TODAY for or against ANY varsity team in the state.

He is 1 of several really good freshmen coming in this year. This should be a really great class!

I've seen him several times, and I disagree with that completely. No knock on him at all, simply saying that he can't handle the elite PG's in the state at this point IMO, offensively nor defensively.

Do you realize you would have him against the likes of Whitaker, Faulkner and Jackson? Come on!

Ok...you may be right but he's not far off...I like the kid, alot. I would definately rather him be playing for me than against me, freshman or senior :jump:
