Yes, I agree that this decision could have been made two months ago, but for it being a super hire I disagree. Is Southern really doing anything to improve the program, or are they happy with sub-par teams with sub-par performances?

This is a high school program, not college, and certainly not the pro's. Yeah if there was only one county school, they may be able to counter offer, but not in Madison County. Since there are two high schools in the county there has to be some type of equilibrium. What are they going to do, hold a special board meeting to meet the new coaches' requests. Not likely...On the other hand, the College coach could be using the offer (if truly there has one been made) as a bargaining tool at his current placement. The policies are in black and white.... Who knows.....:confused:

If my math is correct Coach Carter's overall record during his tenure at Madison Southern is 43-44. With 19 of them wins coming from the 2002 (10 wins) and 2005 (9 wins ) seasons.

I feel like I am in a "Dave Brumley For Head Coach" campaign forum. The only thing that is missing is for someone to say, "I'm Dave Brumley and I support this form"

In the other Madison Southern thread you mentioned that Poynter would be a good fit for Southern. Is that who you are hinting around too??? It seems he is the only one not mention on this thread from the other.
