Coach Smart is a really good coach.

I know that Coach Smith had to turn it down because of his family and that's understandable. I have also heard that Owensboro Catholics HC turned it down because they were taking too long. I have no idea why Coach Perry said no. My question is why interview if you are just going to say no when they offer you the job?

If everybody's story is right. 3 people have turned the job down. One actually accepted or wanted it and then had to turn it down. I'm with The Guru, just give it to Coach Boston and move on. He'll do a great job.

Yes josh has coached the Franklin system( coached at one of Coach Franklins Camp's). He also played in the Wing-t under Coach Duffy. So he knows more than the veer.

Having played and coached with Josh, I know how much that program means to him. He wouldn't care if he was their last choice. Which of the looks of things it might come to that.

Any news today? I'm done asking people because I'm kind of with The Guru, I think people are kind of hoping that Coach Smith will come and he's obviously not. People that I have spoken with have quit talking. They have all told me the same thing, a decision could be made any day now. I know that a decision needs to be made and with the list that they had, they couldn't have all accepted the job then turn in down. They wouldn't have applied if they didn't have interest. It's kind of been a frustrating process. I'm just glad that Coach Boston is there to keep the weight program going until they kind hire someone. I think that says a lot about Josh and he should really be considered for the job.

Because it can be a really good job. I agree this whole process has been strange.

None here. I was just kind of poking fun at the situation. I think he's done but a lot of people are hanging on for him.

Sorry I've been out of the loop of Ky high school football. What's Coach Jagger's background? This whole process is getting ridiculous. I'm thinking Coach Smith really wants it and Henderson County really want him and he is trying to talk his wife into going. Just my opinon.

This is crazy. The same thing happen last time. Jay Cobb accepted the job. Next day turned it down.

So does this mean no coach Boston and no coach Martin. There is one name I wish would pop up not going to say it on here but it hasn't been mentioned yet.

If the list i was given is accurate then that leaves Josh Boston,Bob Sphire, John Edge, Coach Saunderson and Billy Martin. I heard Billy Martin had an interview Sunday afternoon.

Just to clarifie somethings. I'm not claiming all that I say is true. Just things that I've heard from VERY reliable people and on the local radio. There maybe someone they hire that has not be mentioned. I don't want people to assume that I know exactly whats going and be totally wrong. Just trying to relay helpful information that I've heard.

Exactly what I was thinking. That or maybe they have cut the list to two and want one last interview with both of them. This has been a weird hiring process thats for sure, especially if they hire Boston which I'm starting to doubt.

It was announced on the local radio today from the AD that they are bringing in a couple of coaches over the the next couple of days for second interviews and a decision will be able either this weekend or early next week.

I'm out of info. Maybe some one else can help with the last two.

Radio said there were 8. I know Billy Martin is one. Kevin Saunders from Gretna High in Virginia has also be mentioned.

I knew he was from Kentucky just didn't know what part.

A few of the finalist names were mentioned this morning one interesting one was Bob Sphire from North Gwinnett High School in Georgia formerly of Lexington Catholic. Very interesting that he would want to leave that hot bed that he's at. Also John Edge of Owensboro Catholic was named never really thought he would leave Owensboro Catholic but I guess I was wrong.

Yes, I believe he had his last thursday.
