Anyone got any info on the Elliott game?

I know Mckenzie does dont play basketball that is why I said if he plays. However I have seen him play basketball and he is very good, also he could add some size to West Carter. Would be a great player if he would play.

Well they are odviously talented, might surprise a lot of people this year.

Cody Stamper, Dereck Lawson, Bret Tacket, and Macinzee (cant remember his last name) if he plays. They are all freshmen now and were great in the 8th grade. West Carter won the OVC with them last year. Its odd when you see the talent change from last year to this year. Last year West middle stomped Elliott middle by a large margin, this year Elliott has done that to West Carter.

What do you all think of West Carter this year. They have some good talent that just moved up from the 8th grade. Might take a couple of years for that talent to show, however I hadnt heard much about what they have for this season.

Its always hard to count Ashland out, no matter what they got they play their best with them. This sounds odd because they are usually a regional power, but they might be a dark horse this year and surprise people.

If they are bringing a 14-16 record from last season and they are full of juniors, sounds like they will be pretty good.

Your great team almost got beat by little undersized Elliott County. I believe this will suck some of that arrogance out of Mason.:thumb:

I am sorry to ask i am listening to the broadcast but the game started at 8 so i know that there are some scores by now does anyone know what the scores were for the first quarter, or half, how ever much they played. It would be greatly appreciated.

I agree that it may be hard for some students to attend, but in respect to the people who put on the tournament i would at least try to attend. Maybe that is just me, and also if i recall in the earlier post it didnt look like anyone was thrashing kids for not attending? The initial question was why did they not attend!

Ferguson in my opinion is close to being on the same level as Miller, If I do recall he made 28 points during the last game with Miller guarding him. That's not too shabby if you ask me!!!!

Mason County is not an NBA team, they can be beat. And Elliott was not near as strong as they are now when they lost to a very strong Rowan twice by 27 then beat them in the Regional. And lets just see how strong Mason is next year when they play the boys from Elliott at Sandy Hook.

I believe that we all can agree Mason has the advantage over Elliott, and is likely to win. However the game has not been played yet and I can guarentee Elliott will not just give it to them. I am an Elliott fan but I do admit Mason is the better team. But stranger things then Elliott beating Mason have happened. I know Elliott lost to Mason by 29 the first time around but that means nothing. A few years ago Elliott lost to Rowan County twice during the regular season by 27 points each game. When the regional tournament came around Elliott beat Rowan by 7 for their first ever regional win. This season Elliott beat East Carter by 30 something, yet only beat them by 1 the next time around at Sandy Hook. So though Mason does have the advantage and will probally win I believe we need to be a little more cautious guarenteing it. With that said Go Elliott!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have to say Elliott is the better of the two teams with more talent. Yes Rose Hill has alot of talent also but Elliott deserved the win. Congratulations and good luck tonight against Rose Hill!!!!
