Elliott, Bath, East, and possibly West could beat Ashland. IMO

They seem to be pretty tough, its so hard to make a prediction when you know nothing about the team. They have a player who is 6-9; he is not listed as a top player but with that size he could create some problems for Elliott. Giving a guess Im going to stick with my Elliott and say they win by 5!

Just found this and thought it was interesting. It seems that although their scedule has been debated as weak, their margin of victory and points per game have them ranked #1 in the state in power rankings. This game was good for Elliott. It will make them better and get them prepared for Mason, Anderson and the Regional and hopefully the State Tournament. Sometimes a loss only makes a team better. Good job Elliott, proud of you guys for holding your own.

Yeah Im very excited. As a life long Elliott fan I am proud of our little school for being in this tournament; win or lose. On the beach ball website it is not showing the game yet but the box scores on the side just switched to the Elliott game so its getting close. 5 minutes

Who really cares how much they won by? The fact is they won. If it had only been a 20 point game the Elliott haters would have said Elliott only beat a sub par team by 20. Coach Mays gave all his players playing time which was fair. Yes he did leave the starters in for the 1st, 3rd and part of second period. But I think they deserve the playing time just as the players who came off the bench did, and coach Mays gave them all time. And if Elliott fans dont think the Lions ran up the score, what do you expect, its their team. Nobodys fans are going to say their team ran up the score. I know several people from Boyd who had nothing to say about the score. It seems that the only people who have a problem with it are those like the GEEK or whatever his name is who was not at the game and has probally never even seen Elliott play. Get over it, Elliott is going to win games this year by large margins, and they are going to lose a couple of games. Thats part of the game, and it seems like some people can not handle this game. Perhaps its too overwelming for them, I dont know. This is beating a dead horse and I was not even going to comment on this but seeing how tore up GEEK is getting over the score finally made me want to respond.

(2-1) Beating Raceland bye 9 and Rose Hill by 17. Suffering their first game of the season to Elliott by 53.

Yeah I agree it is classy of Elliott, but the selfish side of me would have liked to have seen them try for 200!!!

I know someone who is at the game and they said that it was 49-17 after the first quarter. Rick took his starters out and now it is half time and Elliott is up 74-36. He said is the starters were left in Elliott could have reached the 100 mark by half time. Again this is what someone told, but they are a good source.

West by 6. Should be a good game.

I thought Elliott looked a little rusty in the first quarter as they made a lot of mistakes and missed free throws. I do believe West is much better then we previously thought and the game did look like it was going to turn into a slug fest, but I dont think the refs were to blame. The young ref did make some mistakes, but it was about even for each team. I think Wests players played a good physical game which was a great strategy and I hated it when #45, dont know his name, got hurt. However Wests fans were very rude screaming and cussing the refs when #45 fell to the floor. I thought he was just flopping at first and I can see why the refs let the game continued, and when they seen that he was hurt they stopped the game. Wests fans were not acting very classy and their coach waited until the whole situation was over then decided he would make a scene and got a technical foul. I am an Elliott fan, but they did not impress me much either. They did not look like the #4 team in the state last night but instead seemed to play in spurts. Hopefully they were just working out early season bugs. Good job West you gave us a good game, and good job Elliott for winning, you just need to tone it up a bit.
