Oh okay I got ya. And I guess I am one of those againest the idea as well. I see how it would be merciful to another team but I dont believe in handicapping the game in any way to help a team out. I just like talent vs talent and nothing in between interupting that.

I dont think I could have stayed for that one. I like those run and gun score a bucket load of points offence from both teams. Was the defense great on both sides or are both teams just that bad offensively?

Sorry but would someone explain a running clock to me. I am not a football fan so I dont know what it fully means.

Although the score was very lop sided and I think that some mercy should be shown when winning by that much, I have to agree with SportsGuy. And it does look like Estill played their whole team and you cant tell them to just give the other team the ball. Players are there to play not to give up and quit because they know there goint to win. I am sure there were people on the Estill Countys bench that do not see much playing time and they were given the chance to show what they got. Again I do feel for Riverside, but it will only make you better. You gotta take the good with the bad. Good luck to both teams.

I was surprised at the outcome of this one. I new West was good but I didnt think many in the 16th region, outside of Elliott would beat East. West has improved a lot as the season goes on. What is the deal with East? Are they not as good as they were ranked pre-season, or are they just going through a rough stretch right now. A 4-4 record is not what I expected out of them at this point of the year.

It seems that right now West Carter is probally one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the region, but I think Elliott will remember the first game at Sandy Hook and will win by 27. Should be a physical game.

I know a lot of people have knocked on Elliotts scedule and I cant say that I blame them, however I think this tourny will help convince people Elliott is for real. Sure hope they can pull this once out. However it is hard to watch in a way because it makes me wonder what Elliott could have done if they had beat Cedar Hills. Oh well I guess I should just be happy with the way they are playing now.

Im not trying to sound condescending either, however the bigger the school the better chances you have of having a good team. Look at Elliott, throughout their history they were never a powerhouse because they were a small school. Schools like Ashland and Boyd have traditionaly been the power houses because they are large schools and can reload their rosters every year. I know that Ashalnd and Boyd have not been as good as they were in the past but they will be back on top before long, while teams like Elliott get this once in a life time team. So yes I would say the size of your school has a lot to do with how good you are even though there are exceptions from time to time. Look at who usually wins the state tourny, a big school. And I said usually not all the time.

Would love to see Boyd win this one, but I will take Rose HIll by 10
