I think Elliott will win but the score will be lower then expected, compared to Elliott County scoring standards. Id say 71-66. Should be a good game, for Elliott it would prove they can play with good Ky teams.

Wow I am surprised at this one.

Just got back from the game and and Elliott was on tonight. The outside shot didnt drop as good as normal but they didnt really need it. A lot of layups and second chance points. Timmy had a big dunk. Elliott could have scored 125 tonight if they wanted but Rick did the right thing and call off the dogs at different times. Great job Elliott, good luck tomorrow.

I suppose either way the Lions will win I think it best if EC remembers to always take games one at a time. Maybe that was what happened at West? I would like to see EC play their game and capitalize on turnovers better. But we'll see how it shakes out. I think they need to get in the flow of the game to be better prepared for tomorrow. A night on the bench may be counter-productive

It all depends on how East deals with Boyd's new run and gun style. East has historically been a half-court offense team. I don't know how this year's team is cause I won't get the opportunity to watch them until Tues 01/13.

Hmmmm never thought about that. He could very well rest them up. They have a big game againest Anderson who is ranked in the BGP top 20 and I am sure Elliott would like to put them away to silence some of the critisism they get for not playing top teams.

Yeah I heard about that one too. Even the radio announcer who is from Carter County said there should have been a call made on that one.

I am an Elliott fan and typically when a team struggles or loses people blame it on the refs which is usually a poor excuse, however I was told by many people that the game was not called well at all and though I didnt get to go to this one I listened to it on the radio and it seemed there were some very questionable calls made during this game. Like I said I only heard the game and am going by what several people told me, I do not know for sure.

West is going to be tough at the end of the season, there only loses this season have come from Elliott.

Great game for Chris Knipp. His name is not mentioned as much as the other starters but he was the difference maker tonight.

Yep. The way it is looking Elliott will play Morgan and East vs West. But that could change I guess

I still believe Elliott is in a class of there own in the 16th, but you are right about them having a close game in the region; it was good for them and gave them a good learning experience playing under pressure at the end of a nail biter. :thumb:

I figured Elliott would be out for blood in this one after I watched them play in Sandy Hook. West is just a good scrappy team. Great job Elliott , you pulled it out when it came to crunch time, and hats off to West for giving us a good game. Wish I could have been there tonight.:dancingpa
