John Hardin is not in the same class but NC did play them, Bullitt East was in the State finals. As far as Mark Brown goes, it's time to let go!!! In 1996 when (HE) won the state 4A title the current players now were 3-4 years old. Let it go.

Coach Mason and his staff did a very good job. Their players loved them and worked hard every day, the way they would have no matter who the head coach was. The 2004 team beat Manual in the first round of the playoffs then lost to St.X in round two. The 2005 team was hit hard by graduation of 26 seniors and injuries to M. Rogers and J. Keene. One game I went to I counted 22 players on the team. A shortage of players was the reason for the 0-10 season, not the work of the coaches or effort of the players who came out.

Carrying the ball 21 times for 215 yards and three touchdowns, Nelson County's Quentin Brooks played very well.

I understand NC made some coaching changes. Any info on this?

Nelson Co is a good 4-4 team and want to show it. JH is upset about last weeks loss. Both teams have something to prove. Should be fun!!!

I think JD Dog is right on. NC plays several of their younger guys but they ARE talented. Ball control will be the key.

As a center, I have plenty of experience with the ST5's. Out of the box they are horrible. They feel like they have oil on them before you get them properly broken in and when they get sweaty they are horrible also. My favorite ball to use is a year old ST5 that is nice and broken in. They have great grip once broken in IMO. I find that once you get the oily feel off of them they are great. Ours seem to leave a red dye on your hands when they get wet or are used alot. Just my .02

A team is the reflection of a coach. Any comments about the team is a comment about the coach.

Nelson Co. played good in all areas of the game.

After a foot injury to Nelson Co. big OL they couldn't move the ball.

I was most impressed with the MC "D".

Nelson Co is much better than what they played in this one. They had 3 or 4 fumbles one of them inside the Bardstown 15 yard line. Another was a snap over the punters head which gave B-town the ball on NC side of the field. Bardstown also made mistakes that hurt them. Nelson was forced to punt and Bardstown had 12 men on the field. Nelson Co scored 2 plays later. Both teams will be much better next week.

Any comments about Greenwood?

If we come to play there is no reason we cant win by that. If our play is similar to last Friday's game versus Eastern it will be a battle.

I believe Meade Co. is there too.

NC graduated alot of seniors from last years team, but there are experenced players steping up. Greenwood was very solid in 07.

Nelson Co. must replace a very good senior full back (Boone). The O line must continue to improve. They are strong and mobile and should be ok. They run an option offence that has really improved the last two years. The QB will be a 3 year starter and has mastered the option. Coach Bruner has stuck to his style and the players now understand the system. I look for NC to compete for the District title.
