We all support the team that's why we as fans are upset. It's the people running the team I have zero support or respect for.

I know I have been putting a lot of the blame on coach Brossart and I will continue to. If you only run about 5 offensive plays and 3 happen to be run plays, your offense will struggle, and continue to struggle throughout the season.

Brossart's staff is very weak in comparison to who Rodenberg brought to the table. The players feared and respected most of those coaches while they were at CCH. They knew exactly what they were expected to go out and do on game day, and they did it. Last season the players (with the exception of a few) seemed less focused, less confident, and much less prepared than they should have been. They talked about their poor game planning and lack of preparation almost every week. And it showed on the field. It seemed like a joke to some. (And personally I would not hire a pewee coach and expect him to coordinate a defense to stop the best High School offenses in the area.)

40-0, 57-0 in the last 2 games. I think some blame should be put on the coach and trying to defend him is just as bad as trying to blame him.

I promise you if Coach R was the coach of this team with the same players the outcome would have been a little more favorable towards CovCath. Maybe not a win, but to say a 57 point loss and a shutout would have happened under his call is absurd. He was head and shoulders above Brossart in the football coaching knowledge category and my opinion has already been set. CovCath made an awful decision hiring Brossart.

There is one problem in particular and that is Coach Dave Brossart. When Rodenberg was head coach at CCH I remember them being prepared for every game, playing every down as if it was their last, and actually looking like a football team in general. This is a disgusting example of what we know as "football" and I am embarrassed to be a CovCath fan at this point. Everything that ColonelBlue said earlier, I completely agree.

Has anyone heard the rumors of Tanner Miles transferring to CCH?

Two cancer like illnesses with Cov Cath athletes within the past three years. Very upsetting subject.

Agreed. The talent on the team last year was very weak, aside from Jones and another 2 or 3 average players.

Wish we could get one like this in the 9th region. St. Henry's a very nice field but not close to the level that that Mont. Co., Corbin, St. X, Male, etc.

Not sure on the coach but I think from the paper add the only tryout was on that weekend.

Tyler had a great summer with the Colonels and IMO will be one of the best shortstops in NKY next year. That .220 average should be up more in the .310 or hopefully .350 range next year. And the problem in the tournament was not at all the infield it was the speed of the outfield along with the offense not being as good as they needed it to be. The beginning of the year was rough for the infield but Darner, Holocher, LaFever, and Isler didn't have a single error except for a fly ball miscue when Isler was on the mound.

To say Seimer is a good hitter what so ever is bizarre. Like I stated earlier in the forum, if you struggle to hit .200 in the SWOL at the 16u division, how can you possibly argue he can hit at the varsity level?

You have to remember LaFever's job is to bunt in the lineup. If Siemer was to take the 2nd base spot, the fielding % would improve but Seimer would not hit above .250 IMO. This summer for the KY Kings I believe he struggled to hit .200. Although maybe improving in on the D, I cannot see him contributing to the Colonels lineup offensively.

The only reason I would say he would not come back is because his true spot is the infield. He's a great Shortstop and great 2nd baseman and him looking at last years regional final 27-10 team (I think) he might find it hard to believe he could get either of the spots or even play unless he was to play the outfield. If not that he would 100% get the DH spot and be most likely the 2nd or 3rd best average hitter on the team.

I'm not saying he's not a great hitter and he's slow by any means at all. He's one in a million with his talent but to go off and say he can jump right into an infield position with so many other great infielders around him is a little off the wall. And I never said he would ride the wood I just said if he cannot improve his catching game to the next level or play the OF I cannot see him playing anywhere else.

TOG, although fast and very athletic I cannot see him playing any 2nd base at all. There are way too many good infielders out there for him to just hop in and start playing 2nd base. I believe it's either the outfield, improving his catching game to the next level, or DH, I'm sorry.

Luke is being recruited as a catcher. There are about four catchers that he feels he can compete against for the job.
