As a former player at both levels, I have a waivering opinion on the shot clock in HS ball. As most have said it won't come into play the majority of the time, but as a practice tool it could be very beneficial to some teams. The time limit emphasizes the need for a good open look at the basket and forces players to be scanning the floor for TEAMMATES who may have a better shot than them. With guys having to practice under pressure situations, it makes them smarter players in game situations.

I'm gonna have to agree with Sandman on this one.
