Based on Salary Cap rules, you would still be taking a significant cap hit. First, you have to waive him. He won't be claimed. Until a team signs him, he counts against your cap for the full guaranteed salary amount. Then if someone picks him up, he still counts against your cap via set off rules for a significant portion of the guaranteed money. Cutting him is not an option. Unless Rose retires, the Bulls financial options are limited.

How much money are the Bulls in for, yet, with Rose? He can't be traded. Chicago, likely, has no choice but to figure out how to make this work.

In a repeat of 2013, Derrick Rose will have surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee. I imagine his season is over and that this injury could potentially jeopardize 2015-2016, as well.

I just had a thought...if Beatty gets the gig in Arkansas, would Coverdale go with him? I mean, I imagine that Andrew Coverdale could have been a head coach if he wanted to be. Maybe he doesn't want to do that any more. The money for Beatty would likely be six figures in Arkansas, he may be able to secure a teaching gig for several coaches and some decent money for them, as well. Bob Sphire was able to bring several of his assistants when he went to Georgia. I would bet the situation would be similar in Arkansas.

It implies that there is zero correlation with running the fastest 40 time and success at skill positions. Of course, speed is a very important aspect of football. It isn't the only important aspect, but it is very important to success at skill positions with the exception of QB.
