My times are not off by much. It was big discussion where I was sitting. It might have been last week's food, but it sure did leave a bad taste in many mouths. I'm not upset because of a loss, I'm just disappointed in how the game was handled at the end. And, it doesn't look like I'm the only person commenting. I am proud of Bracken girls and I hope they pull it out tonight. I also wish the best to Mason.

Chambers did not come out of the game until there was a minute and some odd seconds left on the clock. Cline came out about one minute before her. Bracken had already put in subs. And, I must say...when Bracken lost by 40, the same thing happpened--yes...maybe a little worse the first game, but there's still no reason for it. That's my point. Why have a college bound player in so late in that game and risk injury to her? It makes no sense.

I'm a Lady Bear fan, but this one was kept close only while Chambers and Litzinger were in foul trouble. Definitely had difficulties again with keeping Cline from taking it to the hole. Disappointed in the fact that Mason had starters in until the last minute of the game. Bracken had already put in subs and the game wasn't even close during the last 3-4 minutes...not like a sudden comeback was going to happen.

:thumb: I must ditto that comment. L King did all he could do. Pressure allowed him to do nothing else....not a mistake...a last resort of sorts. Those twins played their guts out. Deming's big man #25 worked it under the basket tonight with some powerful pull-downs on both ends of the floor.

Haight has really come on here in the last few games. Without question, the Lady Bears were out of sync in this game....way too many turnovers. We've got to be a little more patient on offense. Then we've got to learn to keep the pressure up on defense without dinky fouls. Defensively, Burden is impressive, but she was in foul trouble this whole game so she really wasn't able to contribute a whole bunch in this one. She was on the sidelines most of the night.

DeSarae is a class act on and off the court. She is a remarkable, respectful young lady and I wish her all the success in the world. Way to go! Congrats!:dancingpa

And, as 10th region fan just stated, Coach Schultz and the Lady Bears had a quality win last night on the road.

Must agree--I don't enjoy watching a game at St. Pat. Visiting section is at one end of the floor, so it's difficult to watch the action unfolding on the far end of the court. Agree with other posts too...Villa Madonna's gym is cool--what a beautiful campus and location. A person almost feels bad getting loud b/c the view is so serene.:sssh:

I think saying they don't have a chance is rather harsh. There's always a chance----I'm sure stranger things have happened, Ising. Totally overlooking them is unfair---FYI ---sticking with that attitude may just get your team beat someday. I doubt coaches teach their players to overlook other opponents regardless of previous play.

Up tempo play is the style these girls are best at. I enjoy watching them pressure the ball. Shooting has been a sore spot with Bracken's girls' teams for many years. But, as a whole, this team is aggressive and can earn alot of their buckets off turnovers they cause. I enjoy watching them get after the ball--pressing and making it harder for the other team to get it down the floor. Coach Schultz has done a good job of keeping fresh legs in the game lately-- Even in the loss in their first tourney game Thursday, this team looked much better---hope things are coming together for this young group of ladies. Turnovers in the first quarter definitely contributed to an early lead for Paris. The Lady Bears must find a way to reduce turnovers in order to get the team back on track. While a win last night would've been wonderful, this loss doesn't come as a surprise. Paris is pretty solid. Bracken is young and I haven't lost faith in these girls. No doubt, the talent is there--ALL of these ladies need to keep their chins up and find their confidence---work their rears off when they get in the game and support each other when rooting from the bench. I still believe the future holds great things for this team.:thumb:

I'm in total agreement with you here. Bracken's bench is as deep or deeper than any in the region, but hasn't been utilized much. No sense in talking about having a deep bench if they are never looked upon to contribute! Glad to see those gals come in and hustle after it. Must say--that Deming bunch is about the scrappiest, most aggressive squad I've seen from Robertson County in a while. Game was sloppy, but both teams were definitely gettin' after the ball.

Agree too that Roger's JV game was well played-- hoped that she would see some varsity minutes in this one.

This was a closer match than I expected.

This was a close one. Though, I was surprised that Bracken didn't apply more pressure to the ball in the 2nd half. Defense may have stopped their inside game, but left the shooter open around the perimeter. I was looking for a box and one in the second half. Their shooter didn't have to work too hard for her points.
