13th region-Cumberland & Clay County 14th region-Perry Central 15th region- Paintsville These teams will be hard to beat during tourney time. Man to Man defense teams.

Any details on this game? Had to be tough for Bell after the fight with Cumberland the night before. Good job Coach Morris in making it that close.

I'm talking about the Coach Morris and the Coach Akal connection. Like the story on the Hogue, Blanton, Leisge, and Ryhmer connection. Wasn't both coaches pretty good in high school?

Hate to say it but, it is quite obvious why they are looked at that way. I wonder do the Bell County kids take that kind of abuse in the 14th region. I bet they don't. It is unfortunate but, thats the way it is. Its not like they were taken from anyone in the 13th region. I bet Coach Akal and Coach Edwards understand the reason why. I think Coach Akal and the rest of stafff does a heck of a job regardless of where the players are from. There has been a lot of coaches who has had a lot of talent and have not won. And if you ask the people who follow Cumberland then you know that this staff was a big part of the 2003 regional championship team. Oh yeah, there were no transfers.

Coach Morris and Coach Akal played together in high school didn't they. That seems like a pretty good story line HDE.

I'm not saying that the final score is wrong. I just didn't think Cumberland would win by that much.

IMO Cumberland will struggle on the road in that kind of atomsphere, but it will prepare them well for the All A the following week.

With the WYMT Classic and the All A Classic coming up there will be no hiding. I don't think the coach intentionally set out to get a weak schedule. I heard that some teams just refused to play them, not because they are scared but because it was the last year of the school and Cumberland could not return a game. There is a lot of reasons that they are not playing the so-called top 25 teams.

Cumberland scores are not a good indication of how a game went. I've read enough posts on how their last 4 or 5 players on the bench do not score when they get in a blowout. But, I still got KCC with the upset. Their at home and Cumberland has played 1 game in two weeks. Game timing and rythm will be off.

Holland and Whitaker, combine their experience and wins.

I got Knox Central with the upset by 3pts. I think Cody Miller will explode.

I got KCC by 10plus. Home game and I don't think they will let Cumberland play their style. But, I would like to see an All A rematch.

I got Hazard by 10 plus. Best coaching staff in the mountains.

Having 2 of the top ten players in the region is not bad. I think coach Strange is one of the top 3 coaches in the region. But, his son is a player, and Day is probably the most experienced and fundamentally sound true big man in the region. Don't try and make it seem that they are over achievers. How many teams in the region have two players that can get you 30pts on any given night. Or even 40. So IMO they are as capable as anyone. Thats because they have a great coach and great players that can match up with anyone in the region.

I think you gonna see some first round upsets. I got Knott at home over Cumberland and Knox over JBS. Hazard and Knox in the finals. I'm changing my original all 14th final.

JBS is the favorite. Hazard the sleeper.

Cumberland and their coaches i'm sure understand the one and done deal. They did a pretty good job in the All A region last season.
