Bracken Co. played without Caleb Craft tonite and even though Tyler Jefferson played a very good game they could have used another big body. And a little DEFENSE would have been nice too.

With Augusta, St. Pat and Bracken Co. in the tourney that would be a little hard to do.

Bracken Co. finally found an inside game and played like a team. Good job and keep it up

That is absolutely correct! The subject of this thread is why the administration chose a young man who has never coached a game before and passed over a local Coach that has had success in the county with the talent he was given. I do not think that is unreasonable to ask why and what was the administration thinking. It is not about bashing, it is about a deserving Coach that did not get a chance to prove himself at the high school level. It is about being loyal to someone who has taught and coached in our school system for 13 years.

This is what we are talking about. EVERYONE has coached at Bracken Co!!!!!!! It would be nice to have somebody hang around for 10 years or so.

This thread is about Bracken Co.. The AD and Principal are the same person. The AD/Principal made the decision to hire a person with absolutely NO experience coaching basketball. Everyone on the site base council did not agree with the decision. She passed over a Coach, already in the school system, with 13 years of experience. As for the super I have no idea why he was not involved.

So in your opinion, 1 person should make all the decisions concerning the education and development of your child and not consider any other options or wishes presented by well informed parents on the council and in the community.WOW!!!!

From my understanding site base was not all in agreement on this hire..The final decision was made by the AD.

Bracken Co/Athletic Director thinks she can handle 2 jobs. Why can't a coach? Are we limiting him only to softball..He can have a successful basketball program as well....but in reality Bracken won't give him the chance...He does have the support of parents and community.

In reality he has never had a paid coaching job and is not listed on the WKU website as being part of the staff.

The Bracken Co. AD passed over a local Coach with 13 years experience,Chad Persinger. Chad has had great success at the Middle School level and deserved a chance at the High School. The new coach has no head coaching or assistant coaching experience at all. It would have been nice to have a basketball coach at Bracken Co. for more than 2 or 3 years, but the Bracken Co. administration does not seem to think loyalty means anything. Just the same ole song and dance.:confused:

Bracken Co. wins with a walk off grand slam. Bracken trailed the entire game and then Jonathon Cline ends it with the line drive grand slam. Dillon Hamilton and Andrew Cummins also hit HR's for Bracken Co. Great come back win for the Bears.

Cummins had a 3 run home run and 2 or 3 more RBI's.

Well, if every team was seen then evidently the second part of my statement must be correct. I thought playing defense and rebounding would be part of the qualifications for an All Area team and not just hitting 2 or 3 three's a game.
