I just watched it delayed, and was very impressed. I'm glad they showed the religious importance to each school as well, especially my Tigers. I was hoping political correctness wouldn't affect that. This has to be great for parochial school students, to get a real glimpse of each school.

Mercy volleyball was ranked #1 in the US by prepvolleyball.com, up from 3rd in the last ranking. That site is the most respected in terms of VB rankings. ESPN has them at #3 for the moment, but that could still change. With several 1 loss teams at the top, it came down to SOS and quality of the team that provided the loss. Mercy's only loss was to Assumption, a loss it avenged twice later in the season. I can't post a link to the rankings because that is premium, but I got a text from a player with the details re: Mercy as she learned them from her coach. But he said they would make the restrictions so tough that they couldn't afford to pay all the fines. He's also against clean coal, which may be the wave of the future. Supposedly, it is much lower emission. We knows Biden is against clean coal, cause he said he wants the Chinese to have all the coal companies. I hate the coal companies too, because they are so destructive, but don't think they should be legistlated out of business this quickly. They should be allowed to develop the clean coal procedure. Honestly, if they would just allow me to install a windmill in my front yard (or back) like I want, I wouldn't have any issues with this. But my neighborhood assoc is freaking out because it's twice the size of my house. I'm trying to be green, and sell power back to LG&E. Maybe Obama can nuke my association for me.

I was doomed this election, being neither truly liberal or conservative, and voting for a third party, who could not have won. Oh well, maybe next time.

I don't either, but he isn't president yet. Also, he will get a free ride from major media, so even if he screws up, we'll never know about it. Honestly, I don't think he even attempts half the stuff he has talked about over the years, at until his second term. Some of that stuff is too radical for moderate Dems. And I think he gets a second term, as long as the economy is good. That's the way it always happens. Good economy = incumbents win.

I'm very anti abortion, but that has already devided those who care one way or the other. As for gays, I could care less. I seriously doubt my God has any issues with them. And I think all marrital benefits should be eliminated anyway, straight or gay. Why reward people just for getting married with tax breaks or whatever? I disagree when you say his economic beliefs won't devide the nation. Wealth re-distribution could very well do that. Even though I'm on the low end, and could very well benefit from his plan, I don't wan't any part of his Robin Hood plan of financing. I prefer to get by on my own. Until poor people start providing jobs, I'm against that plan. He also has expressed interest in changing the constitution (saying our forefathers got it wrong), but that was as a professor. Sometimes professors just think all kinds of crazy stuff to make themselves seem important. I hope/assume that's the case here. I think if he did that, we would be seriously divided.

A lot of Palin supporters here it seems, but all the repubs I know had huge probelms with her magically appearing out of nowhere. Some changed their votes because of her. She is even more unknown that Obama.

I don't know either. But he was only running against Bush, and it looked liked he pulled some serious strings to stay out of harms way, not it may not take much to beat that.

^ To answer that, let me tell you about myself. My current TV is 22 years old, and only the 3rd TV in my lieftime of 43 years. We had a B&W unitl I was in high school, in the 80's. I am only getting a new one due to the change, and moving this one (with a convertor) to another room. I also have never had cable or dish, and still use an antenna. I also have never played a video game that didn't require a quarter, and I was a master back then. We just flat out don't watch much TV. Even my teen daughter only watches an hour a week, two hours tops. We're too busy with sports right now. I'm already fat, and can't imagine how I'd look if I watched more TV.

5 minutes, only because the poll worker was absolutely blind. She must have been 100 years old, and could not find my name, even when I pointed it out to her. Should have been 2 minutes. Turns out, it was all hype about huge numbers voting this year. Trey Grayson said the same percent voted in KY as the last election, 65%. In Jefferson County, it was the same as well, 71%. This may have been another media induced hype.

I thought he ran a very classy campaign, as far as campaigns go. He defended Obama on many occassion, and his attacks were minor. Many of his so called "attacks" were merely McCain pointing out Obama's own words and using them against him. How that can be an attack....ehh? As far as his concession, I think it is the best I've ever heard. When folks booed Obama (like happens in every election when the opponent is mentioned since I've been alive), McCain told them to stop, and stood up for "his president" again. There's no way he can be called aything but classy. Just look at Bush's elections to see what the opposite of classy is.

I guess I'm taking him at his word, the words he spoke as a lawyer and a professor and a senator over the past 15 years. He has said some very scary things, things he'd like to do. His desire to "bankrupt the coal industry" will have a very negative affect on KY, and my electric bill. So his slate is not entirely clean in my eyes, but I can overlook those words, and long as he does not follow through with them.

As far as Nixon goes, don't forget his 1st two elections, especially the one against Voorhis. He accused him (and the next woman he defeated, name?) of being communist. It almost killed Voorhis, who was bitter to the day he died. Oh, the kicker? Nixon admitted later that he made it all up, that he lied, but he had to do anything to win. "Anything to win" were his exact words.. So please don't make him out to be a saint.

I'm Dem for the most part, but wanted McCain or Powell instead of Bush years ago. McCain just got to bat too late in life I think.

Why don't you support those who didn't support Obama? That sounds kinda petty. That's not what Obama is about, is it?

You seem to have a fascination with this subject, still holding a grudge after 8 years?!? Look, I didn't want Bush in office any more than you did, but he still won according to the system we have. Gore (whom I voted for) didn't even win his own state, that should tell you something about him.
