Thanks balla. Do you know who was on the mound for the Royals? Sounds like Mason needs to get the bats going. They hit the ball well the first couple games, but haven't hit since. But Harrison will do that to teams.

Mason Co. has let 8th graders play on the varsity, or at least sit in the dugout and be on the roster. And some have played in the years past. But they recently started up a middle school program.

Good win for the Breds. Royals need to get the bats going. Did Harrison have a lot of hit or Mason errors. Any details on this one.

The Cards are a very solid team. Mason came out very flat in the second game and I think they wanted to get home, and didn't bother to play in the second game.

But, in 5 innings. Give yourself up. Take a couple strikes or take some hacks. 58 runs! How many walks or hits would that take and only take one base?

I think I had Clark with 16 hits. They pushed 4 across in the 6th and 3 in the 7th.

That has to be a typo. There is no way a coach would or should do that to another team.

Ok. I was watching the Mason Montgomery game the other night and a fly ball to center field and a kid on second. He noticablly left the bag before the ball was caught. So, they throw the ball back into the infield and over to the third basemen and he tags the runner and the umpire doesn't make a call (safe or out). So, they give the ball back to the pitcher, get on the rubber, step-off throw it back over to the third basemen and call him out. Why, couldn't the ump have just called him out on the first appeal?

Haha. I never thought there was any specualtion of him even playing baseball?

The second runner coming home is out by the tag. Then the appeal makes the first runner out. Double Play.

They looked pretty good last night. Hitters 1-9 made solid contact all game. They look like they a very fundamentally sound ball team.

I doubt they will make a run to the state tourny, but could. The 10th region has some pretty good teams. Mason is a solid club and needs to make routine plays if they want to be considered. The big question for this team is pitching. Ryne King threw 4 innings last night and had a good outing until the 4 run 4th. Brace threw a solid game against Nicholas. Threw all 7 innings and I don't think he had one K. He let his defense work for him. They could be sleeper in the 10th this year, and could shock someone, once the pitching staff get some innings under their belts.

Any info on this one?

I think it would be like passing a runner on the basepaths. Called out ending the inning with a 9-0 score, on to the top of the sixth. Since there was already two outs. As cooperstown said, I'm still puzzled who the runner could miss home plater, being that a throw wasn't coming.

Mason jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The Indians came back with 2 of their own in the top half of the 3rd. The Royals couldn't push anything across in the bottom of the 3rd. Then in the fourth with one out, the number five or six hitter for the Indians, hit a solo shot to left center. Then with 2 runners on, in the same inning, the number three hitter, number 24, hit a three run shot over the left field fence making the score 6-2 Indians. The Royals would get runners on, but could never put together a string of hits to overcome the deficit. Coach Murph would pull stater Ryne King after 4 innings of work. He would bring in So. Keegan Burney, who threw a solid two innings aloowing zero runs. Mason would score 1 in each of the fifth and sixth innings, and after Coach Murph brought in another So. pithcer Lee Sutton, who would allow 3 runs in the top half of the seventh. All in all, a very good game. Mason would threaten at times, but could never put together a big ralley. Congrats to the Indians on the win.

Nope. He wasn't in uiform for the opening game versus Nicholas, but the basketball team was in Frankfort, so there may be a chance. But, in all seriousness, no he isn't playing.

I think Cox would have a good chance with his hustle and bat. And Woods would give someone a run for their starting job. He had a heck of a Sophmore season last year.

Just asking? Have you seen all of these players play?

I know. I didn't mention him because many people know he is a talented baseaball player Stork, and I figured people want to hear more about players bound to play college baseball. Richie can hit the ball a mile, but his arm in the outfield can come into question at times. Not saying that he doesn't have a good arm, becasue he does, just needs to get it down a little where the cut-off can get to it. Very good player though.

Yes, most of those names ring a bell now. They had a lot of talent on that team.
