Does anyone know anything about this camp? Who is attending? Are there scheduled games open to the public?

I had heard that both Heather and Joscelyn were going to play for Berea.

I hear someone has been picked. I wish I knew who it was....

The coaching position was posted on the Board of Education web site yesterday, I believe.

If you don't know what's going on, how can you say Boone and Ryle wouldn't have similar issues... There could be an appeal process that has to run its course. I expect something will be announced pretty soon.

It's tough to know what's going on when you aren't involved...

Maybe to keep Crittendon out of foul trouble? My thought is that was a huge missed layup by Ryle with them down by four points late in the game. Given, one play does not lose the game, but that was BIG.

I've seen the AD at the girls games, but haven't seen the principal there this year.

Keep in mind that being a "great" player doesn't translate into being a great or even a good coach. Also, let's talk in generalities and not in respect to the situation at Conner, but sometimes it could be necessary for parents (or players) or others close to the program to speak up, true? What if the administration doesn't know what goes on at games, at practice or in the locker room? What if a coach isn't doing what he/she is supposed to be doing or has lost interest, should the parents just sit tight and let it happen? Again, I'm not saying this is or isn't the situation at Conner, but everyone is jumping on parents for doing what they believe is the best interest of their children. There is a good way to voice concern and a bad way...

Coach Warfield had a good run at Conner and coached a pretty good team which no one picked to do anything to the 9th Region Championship. Best wishes to Coach Warfield!

I thought it was interesting that Fookes had the girls foul Ryle at the end of the game up until they were going to get into the bonus situation. What is the reasoning behind this? They weren't going for the steal; just fouling. It obviously worked... was it so Ryle wouldn't have a long time to set up a play? BTW, congrats to all the girls from Ryle and Boone (and the district all tournament members). Both teams deserve to play for the 9th Region Championship!

bballgirl says....Ryle did well to keep it close with number 35 on the bench but i just dont understand how you can say they know they can beat them when boone has came up with two wins in two tries... I say that because Ryle lost by 1 point with Crittendon on the bench for a long time... It's tough to beat a team three times in one season. Ask Highlands from two years ago...

I agree. Actually Ryle did well to keep it close with her on the bench. Ryle knows they can beat them in the Regionals if they face them again. I think Moss gets too many free passes from the Refs based on her name/reputation.

Great job by Ryle to keep this thing close with Crittendon on the bench in foul trouble. Had the ball in one of the two girls you hands you want it in for the last shot (Jump and Crittendon). It just didn't fall.

Glad to see Hope Cutter was able to play and make significant contributions. I heard she was still nursing a foot/ankle injury. Best of luck to the HHS seniors...

There have been coaches from several schools attending Conner games all year and talking with her and her parents after the games. Last I heard, she has not made up her mind yet where she will play.

Not sure why she was pulled. She is a valuable member of that team!

I doubt it. They know they can be dangerous. Some of the girls of the two teams are friends and there has been some light-hearted banter/car decorating going on. Hopefully it's a close game and Connor comes out on top!

It happened a few nights ago during a 9th region game, while the game was in progress. Not the first time it's happened. I would think using their # would be more appropriate.
