Covington Holy Cross will need to score at least 4 runs to beat Bethlehem.

Alphin threw tonight. I would say Bowles will throw for Bullitt East. Will Riddle be throwing for Western Hills? Should be a great game as long as the rain holds off... East gets the win on the road 5-3

These two teams have no common opponents. Can anybody offer some insight into this matchup.

What is date and time of the sectionals game?

It apparent that Carroll Co. was shakey defensively from infield on through the game. They are a young team and will improve. Had not faced much challenge early in year.

I have seen Bethlehem play several games this year. They are fundamentally very solid. Pitching is good and defense better. What type of pitching does Carroll Co. have? They will probably need to hold Bethlehem to under 5 runs to win.

Bullitt East has to be up there with one of the toughest schedules. They play 5 of the top 10 that are in the preseason poll and also have Ballard,Male, E-Town(twice) and West Jessamine all in the top 25...

Does your team emphasize long toss at every practice and what is your routine?

Bullitt East has been doing this for about 3 or 4 seasons. It looks like they are starting to see a little benefit from doing it...

How did North Bullitt look? I here they have two pitchers throwing 90 and look to challenge Bullitt East for District and maybe make a run for a regional title...

Nelson County pulls the upset tonight and here are the reasons why. 1) Team speed - Nelson Co. is much quicker up and down the floor than E-town. They will not be impacted by E-town press and will get several easy buckets in transition. 2) Improving perimeter shooting - Prior to the past two games Nelson Co. had made vast improvement in perimeter scoring. Lacy Hagan, Sara Beth Gillis leading way with Kelsey Robinson, and Emily Hogan picking up points here and there. The past two games against subpar opponents they did not shoot well but I am willing to write that off as being flat. The previous 3 games were against much better opponents (Henderson,Marion, and Central Hardin) 3) Home court advantage and intagibles. Sara Beth Gillis and Kelsey Robinson refuse to lose. Each have been involved with winning programs their entire athletic careers and have competed at high levels of play. Each have started on a varsity team since the 7th grade and know what it takes to win. 4) Samantha Drake comes into her own. This is her opportunity to show why she is the highest touted recruit in the 5th region.

I for one can tell you that is not the norm. I have seen several games this year and typically they let the other team beat Samantha to death. No doubt cost Nelson Co. in some other games specifically their defeat at North Hardin.

Desales and Butler could make some noise if PRP and Bullitt East meet in the semi-final. Harper and Alphin would make a great match up. :fight::fight:

I was on the field yesterday and it felt great. Just walked around and picked up trash and rocks. It will be tough to make it through the next 22 days.
