Congrats Tyler on a great football career. Time has flown, I still remember you leading the Jazz b-ball team in song in the 4th grade after winning a game to qualify for nationals, as only you could sing it "were going to the ship" I'm proud of you pal!! Good luck at Miami, they are getting a fine young man.

USA Today Super 25 final...Highlands #3

I have to believe the regular season schedule of 09 as was 07 more challenging than the 70 team when Dayton, Newport, Newport Catholic etc were probably on the schedule. Dale has scheduled up recently due to local teams not wanting to schedule Highlands. Also, when your talking about "team" I doubt the 70 team had the depth for a 2 platoon system along with the 98 team. -

Congrats to the coaching staff, team, parents and team that work so hard to make this football program one of the tops in America. To the seniors your leadership and hard work over the years have led to one of the accomplishments you'll never forget. Many of these senior players boarded a plane as 9 year olds and represented 1 of 4 teams in Kentucky to play in the national AAU basketball tournament in Florida. As 5th graders you knocked of a Dakota Euton and Chad Jackson led basketball team; the only Kentucky team to beat this group in 2 years. As 6th graders lost in the finals of the 6th grad state middle school basketball championship to a Rose Hill team led by Dakotah Euton. As 8th graders u won the 8th grade middle school Kentucky state championship. In baseball u won the Division I city of Cincinnati Knothole Championship. High school football 54-1 over your 4 years. #3 in the Nation Let the success and hard work throughout your youth carry you into the future! -

For those without access to a computer is the game going to be on the radio and what station?
-
I stand corrected!! Private and Public education didn't help my math skillsand many other. The sheet is making it's 4th appearance and my next door neighbor is a CovCath grad. A fine gentleman I might add!!
-
The sheet has been through a lot. Most often as a drop for painting. The sheet is making it's 3rd appearance. So far it's 3-0.:dancingpa

It's possible X was looking ahead to Elder. But a national TV game I think they were pretty "jacked" up. The more I see the GCL it reminds me of the big ten; very good teams with great size but "slow". I don't believe X was ready for the speed of Highlands smaller speedier birds. Ask Florida they'll take speed over brawn.
-
From what I've heard there are no junior football games on the big field or JV due to CBS taking down all their equipment.
-
His father played at Notre Dame and for the Chicago Bears
-
If Will Bardo can stay healthy, look for the birds to repeat in Bowling Green!! His size, arm strength, speed and supporting cast will not only propel Will into the best QB in NKy, but the top QB in the state.
-
Congrats Tyler!!! Enjoyed coaching you in B-ball and watching you grow up into a fine young man. Great school. Good Luck on your senior year.

Nick Buten: led 5A state champ Highlands in TD receptions (7), led the state of Kentucky in avg. yds per catch (10 or more) at 40.7, tied a state record 99yd td, and was tabbed "the sleeper of the commonwealth" by scout.com after a recent midwest combine.

I've heard from a fairly reliable source that Kevin Listerman was interested or interested in the position if it opened. I also heard he too is expecting a baby which may influence his decision. I believe he will be the choice and move his family back to his birth place of Fort T.
-
Cincinnati St. X will be replacing Holmes on the HHS schedule, the 5th game of the season at home. Should be a great game and atmosphere in Ft. Thomas
-
I don't know their positions but I heard after the first day of workouts, one of the brothers aproached a coach and said: now I know why you win championships!
-
I did not see a score or box score in the Sunday enquirer. Does anyone have a box score?

I recently heard the same story from a student. The student body left a game recently early out of frustration. Bring back Elgin!!! -

Is Simon Kenton the best team in NKY? (Take #2)
HHS replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
It won't be the first time a Simon Kenton team shocked Kentucky: Can Miles Simpson equal the cinderella story of Troy McKinley.
