You have a tendency to always blame the kids. So you are saying that the coaching staff should take no responsibility/blame in this at all, and are you saying that all these parents and alumni are wrong? That is a very liberal approach. :confused:

I have no problem with it, I really don't care if they argue or spit on each other. I just stated what a disgruntled Bourbon County Fan Football Watcher stated, since this thread is about Bourbon Co. coaches.

I really don't have a "Colonel" is this fight on here, I just happen to live in the same town... So, I just want to ask... Since scheduling was brought up... Is it true that he is trying to schedule teams next year like Danville and Boyle Co. ?:confused:

As far back as I can remember the school there never cared anything about their football program, ask anyone that played pre-Hilton days. When Hilton was there he had a very supportive board and adm... but everyone knows the rest of that story....

Another prime example of the youth of today in Paris/BC are just not into it like it used to be. Maybe a few, a handful, maybe. Also football has to compete with boys fall soccer, youth programs compete with fall baseball, etc... You know back when we were all kids it was spring baseball, fall football. Preps played golf team, girls cheered and marched in the band.

I think BCHS is lucky to even have a football coach. I also think that the reason parents are upset is that they are disappointed in the hirings. (but refer back to first sentence) I don't know Massie personally, so I can't really say... He was at Paris, didn't get hired as the HC there so he left and went to BCHS. I do know that he was the Middle School Head Coach, and didn't coach but made more then the guys that were coaching and caused Paris to loose their Middle School coach that was well respected. (Paris' fault not Massie's)... As far as past programs at BCHS, i.e. they beat Paris the year they were state runner-up. BCHS has also had many great hard nosed football players. BCMS at one time had a great middle school program going. The early 80's they had some real talent. I know the kids have to put out on their end too. But there has to be a good chemistry with the kids/players/parents/alumni,etc... Not just one or the other. My personal input is that in Paris/Bourbon County not everyone is into football like it used to be. I went to a few Paris homegames this year, and the crowd seems smaller. I saw no parents cheering in the stands. I wanted to go to the BCHS/HCHS game didn't make it so don't know what it looks like up there? So why didn't they (BCHS) have an offseason program, did no one show up or?

Heard the same thing; that most of the upper-classman, experienced line quite, and that now mostly fresh/soph. are playing.

I read a letter in today's Paris newspaper, and the person writing the letter called the coach out, pretty much, and said that the coaches argue amongst each other on the sideline, and wants the school to do something about it.

I think this is Paris' Homecoming. Last year Paris held their own, they ran out of steam at the end , and few other snafus... I still look for Paris to have atleast a good half of a game in this one.

Actually it was a smart remark for a Lexington Class A School to have such a big boy (i.e. like a big ole farm boy and we know ain't no farm boys at LCA)... Closest field to LCA is the soccer field - :lol:

I am curious to know how many yards Thomas racked up? Not the same NC team as last year. Did they loose a lot from last year?

I wonder if he was knocking our district and meant "weak"?

Could go either way- both teams getting something together. I like the Colonels in this one, but will say Montgomery wins.

Not sure. I noticed it too earlier and thought the same thing. But I am thinking he broke his leg back in the winter??? But he is a good defensive player when focused.

I thought Paris hung in there the best they could. Too bad that Paris just doesn't have a lot of kids.
