Zach was a fine young man and a wonderful athlete. His parents are wonderful parents that are very supportive of all their children. How horrible this is. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Musketeer and Greenup County High School Family.

I'm an "outsider", I've only been here 21 years, both sons consider themselves Musketeers not "Muskies". I really didn't think about it being a fish until just now.

Stopped by the field house yesterday and you could feel the excitement coming from the boys and the parents that I saw. I'm so happy for the boys and for the team. I Love the Musketeers

They give no money for the program like they do the sports programs.

Coup, how about we agree to disagree on this one, ok? I don't believe there will be janitors cleaning up anymore there than in the fieldhouse. Someone said that there was a room underneath the bleachers, now I don't know why someone didn't think all this through before they ordered $40,000. weights that's kind of like getting the carriage before the horse, don't you think?

And where do they put the drums and instruments? The one thing that I did not say earlier was the fact that the band gets NO money from the school, no general funds, no uniform money, no bus money, nothing. So are you saying that they are going to put weights in a closet is that going to be big enough for all those boys in classes? Why can't the weight room in the field house be cleaned up and fixed up and everyone could use that area also. Coup, you know I'm a big fan and I want everything for the boys, but I also feel for the band, considering the parents have to buy those instruments and they do cost a lot, I would want them stored somewhere safe.

Am I the only one that sees it both ways? Listen guys, I understand and we do need the weight room but band is a co-curricular actvity - not an extracurricular activity such as sports. I hate that the band has all the concession stands. Why does one have to take away from the other. First it was close down the ag department because "they don't do anything" and now it's the band. Band is all some of those students have and they are getting scholarships to play in college bands this year alone I believe there are 5 students receiving band scholarships to play at colleges even D1 colleges.IMO

The previous boosters bought new cleats last year and uniforms 2 years ago. As far as the amount goes they left $6800. plus bought a new paint machine ($1100.) The school should be able to buy more cleats and uniforms but unfortunately they may not. Sounds like the GC fans are doing great, hope all goes great this year and they get everything they deserve - the boys deserve the best. I am proud to be a Musketeer Mom and will always be a MM(Musketeer Mom). I'm hoping to spend an entire month this summer making senior flags.:thumb:

Met one sophomore(junior) today in a sad situation his grandfather passed away but talked to him about football and new coach and he is really excited about spring ball. He can't wait. What a great day to be a MUSKETEER:banana::ylsuper:

I would love to see Greenup County on top again, it's been fun watching these boys.
