  1. well i think that woodford should be even higher then what they already are. Woodford Co is getting better an better every game and i dont see Tae Mulder and Travis Swan letting the team go down hill. Plus they have to young guns on the team camren mattingly and Dominic Johnson who are both very good and know how to take over a game.:fight::flame::argue:
  2. i agree i think that Lewis was a playmaker but i feel that one person isnt going to slow woodford down at all they have a lot of heart and everyone here at woodford knows that this could be the last game and they are going to play like it so everyone get ready cause this should be a good game
  3. well i owuld say anderson would lose but they dont play any body that is much of a challenge
  4. im going to go with BE on this one they played real good when woodford played them first game of the season. BE is a real good team and if they come to play then im saying BE wins 24-14
  5. Would that be the Bazemore-Hyder Stadium in Valdosta GA. ?? It is a super facility. Not as big as some of the Texas Stadiums but a great experience for the football fan.
  6. They are in the Dayton City League. They have won 1 game. They had one close call. All the other games were blowouts. In the game they won they rushed for almost 450 yards, against a very week opponent. In the close game they rushed for 235. This league is down and I have only seen a few clips from this season. They are in Division II which has 4 - 30 plus team regions. They are ranked in the bottom 15 of the 125 or so teams and the bottom 5 of their region #8. For your reference St. X Cincinnati is a Division 1 in OH, and Wheelersburg which Johnson Central played is a Division 5. Ohio rankings say : St X - 23.5 Wheelersburg -9.9 Dayton Belmont-1.3 They have about 900 students.
  7. In 5A I can't gripe with the top 3, after that I'm not so sure. I think this is definately skewed. I have seen Pulaski County and Lincoln County play, I am glad they are having good seasons but include Anderson County in the mix and all three are ranked too high.
  8. The Herald Leader ratings are so far out in space that no one who has ever seen a football game would take them seriously. Woodford County behind Covington Catholic, Dixie Heights,Johnson Central and now it gets crazy.... Lincoln County??? Lincoln has tons of tradition but only an average team this year. Mercer Co in the top ten ??? Oh well, rank the Yellowjackets low it will keep them hungry !!
  9. Wow, I should take that as an insult but its actually a compliment as I will point out. I actually can discuss Ohio Football, Kentucky Football, even pretty good on good ole Alabama football. I just like football and running a spread offense is easy to say, lots of teams claim to do it, but much harder to actually do. However the key to running an effective spread offense is speed and precision, thats what makes it tough. Wheelersburg doesn't do it well and if you watch them thet really don' t do it at all its just an attempt to spread you out to run the ball. Again they lacked the team speed to effectively run a spread. But I'm sure thats what you were meaning to say, right ? Woodford does it well and the key is team speed. Did you notice they never use a huddle ? On the go from start to finish . Now that we have that out of the way, are there any other questions you need me to answer ??
  10. What a great game Woodford and Johnson Central. JC is a good team and we look forward to playing them again, closer to home this time. For those who saw the game it was the speed of WC and their physical play that set the tone from the start. If not for two unforced WC turnovers the score would have been worse.I wish some of the JC fans would leave their QB alone. He did what he could with the time he had. Those fumbles, all but one were the result of a defense that can hit and was underestimated. The interceptions were the result of a potent pass rush and good secondary coverage. As for the notion that JC has seen any team speed like they faced with WC, that is ridicolus. This is the fastest team they have seen in three years. The Ohio teams JC played are slow grinding teams. I found it interesting that most on this site thought this an upset , while those who follow football around the entire state found this predictable.
  11. :fire: Well I think that it is kind of hard to say they were'nt ready to play Woodford. When Woodford had a 3 hour drive to get there and when they got there late to where they get off the bus and had to go straight into a game. Its kind of hard to get your mind focused and I think the only reason why JC got finished with 22 is because Woodford had most of their JV in cause you know that is what you do when you start to blow out a team.
