Wow! What are you seeing that everyone else is missing? This is one of the top 2 or 3 worst coaching staffs in NKY. This is the same team that beat Highlands twice during their freshman year and if they played tomorrow Highlands would beat them by 35 or more. Highlands, T, and X develop players and don't hope to get the best players show up at their school and play football. That's coaching. When Marksberry starts developing players year in and out then talk to us about turning a program around. Until then SK will always be an avg. team at best.

I don't think any of the three you mentioned will be easy wins. I also don't think BC will handle SK. SK's weakness thus far this season is they can't stop the pass and BC refuses to pass? If BC ends up 7-3 (and they may) they will have earned it without many if any easy wins.

Outside of Chad and Winkler being the lone bright spots tonignt, I would agree. But, if that's the only plays being called what do you expect. SK ran 2 plays the 2nd half that did not include Chad running or throwing the ball and the 2nd one was at the end of the game when they should have taken a knee. And you wonder why they didn't score the 2nd half? Even an average team can beat one player and HC should have won the game tonight except for some dropped passes and poor coaching. (And the fumble at the end of the game as they were already in FG range)

If 90% of the play calling is designed for Chad to either run or throw, shouldn't he get 90% of the yards gained? If you want to shut down SK's offense, double team Winkler and have your LB's shadow Lawrence. That is their offense.

With no Offensive line your not going to score many points. Which means your defense is going to spend most of the time on the field. I would say right now Ryle is 5 TD's better than SK. If SK doesn't straighten out their line and play calling problems Ryle will be 5 TD better in October when they play. Let's hope they get it figured out so we can see a good game come October.

No argument from me. I would have at least tried something different if what I was doing wasn't working.

Simpson would have made no difference today. He would have been hit in the back field as all of the SK running backs were. I totally agree with you that SK will have their hands full this year and they were totally outclassed today.

Clyde, No defensive scheme needed. SK lined up in the spreed offense and tried to run outside and throw the football the whole game. SK was in the shotgun and the Middletown's defense was beating the ball back to the QB. SK made no adjustments the entire game. Middletown is a very quick team and to try to get outside on them will be hard for any team. SK ran the ball in between the tackels a few times with success but never went back to it? I'm no coach but if somethings not working I think I would try something different. "Not at SK, at least not today" No offical stats but I'm guessing that SK ran under 10 play under center and the rest was out of the gun. They probably had as many yard under center in those ten plays as they did the rest of the game. As for the defense? They were worn out as they spent most of the first half on the field but the bottom line is they have to do a better job tackling. A lot of Middletowns big plays were a result of missed tackels. I guess the bottom line is that I expected more out of SK. I wish them well but I'm afraid they are in for a long season. If they were to play Ryle tomorrow, Ryle would win by 5 tochdowns. They'll win some games this year as they don't have that tough of a schedule but without an O line they won't win many.
