Simon Kenton 21 Henry Clay 18

SK owned the first half, HC owned the second half. Lawrence threw a pick in the end zone with less than five minutes remaining. HC drove the ball to redzone but SK forced a fumble with :42 left, sealing the win.

Lawrence 184 yards passing, now stands at 2nd all time for SK. He also had over 150 on the ground. Winkler with 90+ yards receiving. OLine played their strongest game of the year.

Like I said before, HC has many players playing out of position. When one of the best DT's in the state #6 for HC only plays after SK gashes them for a 20 yd run, I just scratch my head. SK brought the house every play, HC never made any adjustments to pick it up. There's some talent on this HC team, it just baffles me how it's not being used properly.

Congrats Pioneers......

I'm no professor of brainiatrics, but I think it has something to do with poor football coaching being an endemic problem in the Lexington public schools.

SK's O-line and D-line played pretty good football against Henry Clay's big boys! SK was missing to starters on defense Safety #4 Trey Pinkelton and DE Danny Williams and still got the Win. Chad Lawrence had some awesome runs tonight also had 2 touchdown passes. SK's coaching staff should have never called a pass play 3rd and goal which ended up an INT.

I was wondering when everyone's favorite BGP'er would rear his head in this forum! Congrats to SK on the win. It's always good to see NKY teams beat non-NKY teams, IMO.

Just got home from the game Lawrence had almost 100 yards rushing in the first half.

When do you guys play Ryle?

To everyone that thought Henry Clay would beat SK have some crow!

A win is a win. I didn't leave impressed and simply didn't see many positives for SK.

Ryan Winkler looked outstanding tonight in the first half, but was forgot about in the second.

Trey being out in the secondary hurt SK bad, hopefully he'll be back because Sage simply doesn't have the coverage skills to play safety.

Outside of Chad's magic, Simon Kenton has 0 and I mean 0 run game. The line simply cannot run block, period. Every run that happens is because Chad is one of the most elusive high school runners in the game. He is simply running around like a chicken with their head cut off.

I'm not for sure, but didn't Boone beat HC.

I left impressed only 2 teams I think that have a chance at beating SK was Henry Clay and Middletown. Nobody in NKY has the speed HC has. SK's defense was running right through HC's O-line!

I'll say this... you do love your team.
