Patrick Patterson came to UK to win a championship. I think he will stay however long it takes to get that done even if he is a lottery pick. That being said, if I was a lottery pick I'd take my hind end into the draft!
I've been looking forward to this game more than any other game on the schedule. Could be an interesting game but I don't see Mercer County being able to establish a consistent ground game against this Boyle County defense. I know that the passing game has been one of the downfalls for Mercer County so that definitely won't help the ground game. Mercer County has a good defense but it didn't really show against Hopskinsville or that team from Tennessee. I'll take Boyle County by as many as 3 TD's. GO REBS! :thumb:
Do they really play Danville? It's saying on the JV schedule that Boyle County plays Wayne County at Wayne. Did Wayne forfeit and Boyle scheduled Danville?
I agree 100%! This is great group of young men that can only get better. What sticks out to you the most about this group? (running game, passing game, defense, etc.)
I couldn't see Boyle scoring in the 70's but they could score as much as high 40's to low 50's. I predict Boyle County to win big just as any other prediction and i'll say 45-0!
I can't wait for the Boyle County/Mercer County match-up. I am looking forward to this game more than any game on the schedule! I know Boyle County still has West Jessamine to worry about before the Mercer game but I am really excited for October 17th! I agree with alot of what PurplePride said and I will go on to say this, Mercer is going to have to find some other ways to score(such as special teams or defense) because running the ball will be very difficult against Boyle. We already established that Mercer County struggles passing the ball so like I said, other ways to score and great defense is the only way to beat Boyle County.
Benz, if you get information about this then let me know. So with this game be possibly cancelled, then Boyle County automatically gets the win, correct? I would hate to see this game cancelled and a win given to them, I want them to earn the win! :irked:
Both teams OBVIOUSLY make an awesome case to be #1 in 4A. However, Boyle's schedule has been been very strong and with Boyle winning their games in great fashion makes them a legitimate #1! Boyle County is very deserving of being the top dog IMO and it would be hard to argue with that. As Fishhead pointed out earlier, keep in mind that these rankings don't matter come December.
Boyle County has moved up to #1 in 4A while Bell County moves down a spot to #2 and keeping Lexington Catholic at #3. This is a fair move IMO and I was just wanting to see what everybody's opinion was on this, so have at it!
I would love to see a Bell County/Boyle County match-up later on down the road! Both teams got alot of work to do in order for this happen but this is obviously possible. Both are great teams and this would just be an awesome game! So who knows...
