  1. Wish I could have heard the ruckus the birds fans put up watching 6 Holy Cross players on the floor! That is hilarious! Great job to Highlands for getting it done any way they could! Bottom line, you live to play another game! Congrats to Holy Cross as well, they have some nice young players with promise, and congratulations to the seniors! What a fantastic high school basketball experience you have had! Hope to see Miss McClendon at that next level.
  2. No way anyone can make a convincing argument that blind draw is just terrible. It blatently is about money and "giving the little guy a chance' in sports when the whole idea behind a tournament is to see who is best. It's not a fundraiser and it is not a team building activity for the community. Seriously wrong
  3. Expect this game to be a good one! They are similar teams with unbelievable senior leadership and great young talent. They both have good bench and both have good size although Ryle has the edge there while coaching superiority goes to HHS with her long history of getting it done in the post season. Ryle has had a great year with wins over Franklin Co and SK, and only narrow losses to teams such as Male and Mason. 2nd most difficult schedule in the state according to Maher. But HHS has been coming on strong, despite some tough competition as well and did a great job coming from behind last night. It comes down to, who wants it the most, IMO. Which team brings their A game? I will take Ryle in this match, but won't be surprised to see Highlands find a way to get the W.
  4. Nice win! You just never know what Scott is going to do, or Cooper for that matter. Both fiesty and well coached teams that are capable of punching a good team in the nose, or other times just not pulling much off. Wouldn't want to deal with either team in districts to get to regionals.
  5. But, didn't you know (from a previous thread) that the fieldhouse isn't really Mason's girls "home court"? They normally play downtown, so I guess the fieldhouse being all the way out in West Maysville makes the field house a "neutral site", lol Love you Maysville fans! Too bad all these HS teams don't have fans like Mason's to support them, critique them constructively, and generally just love on them! You guys/or gals are great!
  6. Glad to see some love for teams in the 8, 9, 10 regions!
  7. 3 of these 4 games very close, all on the road as well, I believe. And solid wins against #10 and #12. l Agree, there is generally an under-rating of Ryle, they are doing well with a brutal schedule. I expect good things for them come tourney time.
  8. Going to be tough in the field house, but I have to go with the Camels. If CC is healthy and the boys get after it like they are capable of, they will win by 5 to 10.
  9. Taylor missed the entire year with an injury, yes. But returned as 10th and 11th grader as the 2nd leading scorer each of those years. Yes she and Kylie have a good chance to get the 1000 club, but I am sure they will be more focused on helping their team get to the sweet 16 club. Campbell shaping into a nice team, good luck to them!
  10. Take a breath, guys! Sorry to butt in to this "boone county" thread, but I want to add in my congrats to the young men in Campbell Co, it was quite a performance for the young camels. The future is bright for Campbell co football!
