This was the first time seeing a Cooper boys team play and was pleasantly surprised by the Jaguars.

 

Collins' only blemishes shooting were from inside the arc when he went 1-for-3, but he was 5-for-5 from 3-point range and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line.

I haven't watched Louis as much as others but it was the most aggressive I've seen him offensively. You have to bump him and play physical D with him. Dixie didn't.

Without a doubt. I think we all know now important Pike was to this team.

 

Absolutely. Pike was key for this team to succeed. They desperately needed a tough low post player. Also when you talk about this year by saying "it's about how deep we can go into the state tourney" you know the team is in trouble. Then your players attitudes reflect that statement. Take it in steps, Region 1st then state! Dixie lost 3 of their last 4 games to 9th Region teams.

Congrats to Cooper. A true team win.

On a side note, McFarland is going to be a head coach somewhere soon if he wants to.

I wanted to see this matchup because I thought it would be the best game of the possibilities. Fun game to watch. Congrats to Cooper. Good Luck against NCC.

This is why we play the game. On paper, Cooper had no chance, but the underdog came out biting and won this one. Congrats to the Jags.

From the get-go Cooper had a lot of pep in their step and got after it.

They always seemed like they were in control throughout the game. Even when Dixie made their run, they kept their poise and stuck some big baskets.

Huge series of threes by Collins gave them the cushion that they needed.

I also thought once Dixie fell behind they tried to make it up all at once and started to panic.

The big kid went to work with Stansbury on the bench.

 

NCC will be an interesting test for Cooper.

I got There when Cooper lead 37-31 and was shocked. Webster and Hatton seemed to be jawing each other at That point and Hatton put one in his eye. After That 3 pter Hatton should have just let his Shot do the talking but he got right up in Webster's ear and I'm sure it had something to do with "How you like me know?". In the end Webster and the Jags get the last laugh. Just play ball fellas you don't need to run your mouths.

I think Hatton plays better when he gets a little edge to him. With that said, Webster did a nice job on him.
