SportsGuy41017
But as far as your question, IF someone doesn't keep them as hotel I would like to see possibly condos or even some restaurants that are not already in NKY, such as a Mongolian grill, Cheese Burger In Paradise. I would like to see a Rooster's but that won't happen as they require a building that is already standing, I would have said a Quaker Stake and Lube but they are ready to build one in Florence. TAC
Not sure I like the idea of the Drawbridge being demolished, would like to see someone else try to run it as a hotel/convention center. I would like to see the former Holiday Inn site (I refuse to us the sites last name, lol) with a nicer hotel chain if possible, but there are so many hotels in the area now it's a wonder that any of them can make a profit. I just don't want to see more strip shopping center crap, or ugly office space, would not enjoy the extra traffic! It would be nice if some how they could use that site as a park, I know it won't happen, but it would be nice. The place is themed like a castle! Cute themed hotels are not going to survive in today's market. Unless major renovation and/or a major chain takes over, roll it over! When I travel, I look for branded nameed hotels. I would never stay at a hotel that i had never heard of. I agree a park would be wonderful, but like you said , it just won't happen.

Then you are missing a lot of great hotels! Although I mostly stay at brand named hotels I do look for a locally owed hotel. Stayed at two very good ones in Newark Ohio, The Place Off The Square which is owned by Longaberger, and Cherry Valley Lodge. TOG and other CCH basketball families will tell you great things about Cherry Valley Lodge from their trip there a couple of months ago.

There are one or two that I'll stay at in certain cities, but it's because I've been to the city and know of the hotels. One is the Roycroft in East Aurora, NY. alegedly haunted!!!! 2 Humped Camel
I hope they turn it into a place like the great wolf lodge or coco key, it will not make it as a regular hotel.

RomanEmpire
With that being said, what kind of business is the Wildwood doing these days? I think the Wildwood is holding it's own with special offerings, local birthday swim parties and the Florence Freedom opponents. In addition, we all know about the theme rooms. For some reason, that doesn't sound to appealing to me from a cleanliness standpoint............if you get my drift Jim.

The Cherry Valley Lodge is one very nice hotel. I also can agree with CC! It gone to cost a whole lot more than 2m to bring the DB up to standards required by business travelers in today's world! I'm kind of with RE on this in that if you end up in a theme room, might not be a bad idea to get a look at it under infrared light just to see what might be there that's not readily visible to the naked eye. Not Great Wolf...the company doesn't know if it has enough cash to make it through the next quarter, and banks are opening their vaults to them. Probably want to think of another type of hotel.
